Anyone with a long action foundation? Just got my samson and where my cheeck needs to be the bolt will hit the cheeck peice and won't allow it to come all the way back.
Waiting on foundation there at shot show so figured I would just ask here if that was a normal issue?

rub a little bees wax on it.
Takes stain and sealer very well but stain probably isn't necessary. Just sealer

My cousin has almost the entire stock sanded down to remove the clear coat.
Contact JK he will send you the correct stain /finish he did that for me when I opened up the bolt handle area on my revelation.
I will bring that up when I talk with them more my order got all messed up missing stuff but there at shot so waiting. They did say there making me a new cheeck peice that's smaller that will work. I want to use it so decided to cut it and stain it

Not sure on the cheek piece but I do know JK will take care of you and get it right. They’re great people to work with.
I've ground on a stock before to adjust the bolt fit. It's pretty easy to DIY and fix the stain. I used a combo of some black and brown shoe polish that I had on hand, along with a bit of coloring with a black sharpie to darken the areas that I wanted. It doesn't soak up too fast so you've got a bit of wiggle room before making things too dark.
Finish off with a coat of Johnson's paste wax furniture polish and it will be nice and shiny like the rest of the stock.
Side note, some black sharpie on dings/dents followed by a coat of Johnson's paste wax does an amazing job of making an old beat up stock look almost new.
Shot the foundation today it is very solid and the recoil impulse is crazy. Felt like I was shooting a very small caliber braked. The rifle shot very good groups. I'm shooting a 300 norma improved 245 bergers roughly 2950. Only negative is I do fight the cheeck peice it's more round and fat compared to the krg which I shot that chassis for 4 years or more just something I have to get use to. But I really like the stock and very happy. With everything it came in 26.5 pounds so I need to lose some for light class. No issues feeding from hawkins cip+ bottom metal.
Were the QD cups added from JK or done after the fact? Looking for a smith that will add QD cups to replace the existing honeycomb, or a smith that would do a hillbilly cut.

We have built and shot quite a few rifles on the Revelation, Gideon, and some on the newer Ezekiel. They all feel really good, but the Revelation is pretty heavy for a hunting rifle.

Looks beautiful but I’d love to see the centurion grip on one of these. What are the differences from the Gideon? Looks like a NV rail but anything else I’m missing?
From my discussion with foundation it sounds like it's just a lot of little things. Most of the bottom of the stock / hand rail has been tweaked. Refinements to the hybrid process I'm sure. The cheek piece is brand new. Some ergonomic updates. Just overall refinement of the lighter weight hunter style.
