I definitely (in a perfect world) would love the thumb shelf and stippling on my Centurion. But the weight of the Samson is too hefty for me to get one.
Anyone else see the new Gideon hybrid hunting stock? I'd kill for a thumb shelf on it but otherwise looks good depending on weight.
MG2 is about 12.5 inches from center of front action screw to end of the stock. Arca rail sticks out another 1.25 inches beyond the fore end.On the samson and the Genesis gen 2 how long are the forends?
On the Samson they offer two grips which one is better for somewhat bigger hands?
Yes, the MDT is M5 pattern, so it'll work with Foundations as well. I have tried on all 3 of mine and its been perfect. The adjustable mag latch is so nice.I thought the MDT bottom metal was based around the Badger version.......just confirming the Hawkins does work with the MDT with the adj mag latch?
Nice rifle! Is that the Natural or Dark finish?Finished up the Revelation/Origin build.
Foundation Revelation, Zermatt Origin, MK5 5-25 PR2, Spuhr 5001, Proof Carbon 6.5cm 24in, KGM R30, Can Chaps, Scope Chaps, SRS Hunter Arca rail, Hawkins Hunter DBM, Hunter Mag, MKM bubble level, and SAP 2 Round holder.
It’s natural, looks better in person.Nice rifle! Is that the Natural or Dark finish?
Gotta be pretty close to the SA variant no? I haven't handled one yet to be honest I much prefer the aesthetics of the OG foundations. Not saying that won't change when I do get to fondle one but the OGs are way better on the eyes for sure.Anybody have experience with a Samson in long action? Thinking about selling my MG2 and grabbing one.
I have one on order when it gets here I will let you know what I think. I got behind some short action genesis and centurion before I ordered mine.Anybody have experience with a Samson in long action? Thinking about selling my MG2 and grabbing one.
It’s nice, I purchased one separately for my MG2.Gotta be pretty close to the SA variant no? I haven't handled one yet to be honest I much prefer the aesthetics of the OG foundations. Not saying that won't change when I do get to fondle one but the OGs are way better on the eyes for sure.
The new adjustable butt plate does pique my interest though.
Not for the threaded insert, but I just got a Sikes Clutch that attaches to the QD’s for my Samson and I like it for barricades.Just got my Samson. Does anybody know what the threaded inserts are for on the side. Still trying to figure out the best way to use my off hand on barricades.
I have the Samson with the Hawkins M5 DBM. Bought me now the MDT M5 but this thing will not really fit in like the Hawkins!Correct. It's what I use on the Samson.
Really nice that you running an Ultimatum Deadline in an Foundation Stock. What inlet is this? Is this a special one for the ultimatum action or a standard rem700?The current “family.” L-R: Samson/Centurion black, Samson/Genesis 2 dark distressed, Centurion dark.
Main match rifle is the left, with 223 trainer on the right. Center is the current project and is about to become a 25x47.
I’d also like to say the MDT Precision Bottom Metal is awesome. It’s not the prettiest, but it dropped right in and the adjustable mag latch was essential in fine tuning the 223 mags.

I’m curious as well. I have an MDT bottom metal and deciding on which inlet to go for now.Really nice that you running an Ultimatum Deadline in an Foundation Stock. What inlet is this? Is this a special one for the ultimatum action or a standard rem700?
What mag inlet have you ordered that the MDT DBM sits flush?
Thanks! The inlet the Deadline is in was originally for Impact and then Foundation opened it up slightly to accommodate a TL3/RimX. I believe the standard R700 inlet will work too (needs swept bolt handle channel). The MDT bottom metal is standard M5 pattern, so the “Hawkins M5” inlet will work for just about all M5 pattern DBMs. I’ve successfully used Hawkins, OTM, MDT, Grayboe and KMW M5 bottom metal on my Foundation stocks.Really nice that you running an Ultimatum Deadline in an Foundation Stock. What inlet is this? Is this a special one for the ultimatum action or a standard rem700?

All M5 inlets are standard. The MDT should work. I have used the MDT, Hawkins, and OTM interchangeably between all my foundations without issues.I have the Samson with the Hawkins M5 DBM. Bought me now the MDT M5 but this thing will not really fit in like the Hawkins!
Who makes the adjustable arca rail you have on the front. ThanksLife originally started as a MPA PMR PRO2 with the CDG action in a MPA Matrix Pro chassis, Fore-end was too wide for my hands and I decided to try a Foundation stock and haven't looked back since.
This is the coyote color way and looks darker in person than the photos!

This Rail is from Anarchy Outdoors, afaik, they don´t produce it anymore.Who makes the adjustable arca rail you have on the front. Thanks
Oh damn. I thought it looked like you could move it with the thumb wheelThis Rail is from Anarchy Outdoors, afaik, they don´t produce it anymore.
The only "adjustment" from the wheel is how strong the grip is. Iirc, there is a insert/T-Nut in the Anschütz Rail on the Foundation Stock and with the Wheel, you can screw the Arca Rail on.
Foundation now has a bunch of new Gear, like Arca rails, a knob for the Cheekpiece and so on. Just take a look at the Website
