Not only sanctions, but what else can be done so that we don't have to rubble the Moscow suburbs, but we can just make life extremely bad for everyone that lives there.
If you're talking about Yanukovych, he was overthrown in a violent coup led by western backed ultra-nationalistic neo-Nazis:
The Far Right in Ukraine During the “Euromaidan” and the War in Donbas
I suppose if you're a Little-Red-Book carrying Commie who hates America, every normal person is an "Ultranationalist" and a "Neo-Nazi."
In reality though, Viktor Yanukovych is a petty street thug and rapist who made it from Soviet jail to President of Ukraine.
He turned stooge for Putin and rejected the will of the people, and he got swapped RIGHT OUT.
fixed that for you.I'm just a guy who is committed to BIG NUMBERS, ya' dig?
In reality, it was the Ukranian people who overthrew the prior regime, because the people sent him the EU–Ukraine Association Agreement to promotegreater freedom and democracy, and increased prosperity.lgbtq+ communism and the globalist agenda.
Instead, he rejected the will of the people and caved to Kremlin pressure by not signing the deal, and taking steps to place Ukraine in a subordinate position to Russia, and place it back under their boot heel.
The people swapped him RIGHT OUT, and he fled to Russia where Putin gifted him one of his palaces in the town of Bakovka.
This has gone far enough. And the he bullshitters are now in high gear.

Never mind the article, the comments after the article are the important part. Everyone in the comments seems to think that Russia started the war.
Russia did not start this war. If you don't know that you are severely misinformed. Who started this war? WE DID.
And I'm not going to spoon feed you the details. Do your own freaking research. That's all have to say about that.
The one you are replying to is part of those orgs...Not talking about every normal person.
Talking about neo-Nazi factions like C14 and Azov.
And Yanukovych was democratically elected in Ukraine.
The one you are replying to is part of those orgs...
Don't remember if it was him or his buttbuddy, but at least one of those guys bragged about serving in azov since before the war.
You know the guys that crucified and burned civilians for speaking russian, the people that fired artillery at civilians.
It was the other guy.The one you are replying to is part of those orgs...

...soon enough Trump and Putin will work out a solution.
Pounded mud in Ukraine that contains significant fossil fuel & mineral wealth. Is Russia still a nuclear state?
I would be afraid to even try to touch the old-Soviet-button if I was Putin... accidents can happen.
Not only sanctions, but what else can be done so that we don't have to rubble the Moscow suburbs, but we can just make life extremely bad for everyone that lives there.
They already know that Putin killed over a half-a-million of their countrymen with absolutely nothing to show for it but some pounded mud in Ukraine.

Trump’s efforts WRT Putin seem to stem from a now dormant LOE to try to remove Russia from the CCP’s sphere of influence. Basically either remove them from the chessboard in the inevitable conflict with China. We have the capacity right now and in the immediate future to fight ONE of them and prevail, but not both. For more on that read “Last Supper First Breakfast”.Why?
Why would Trump talk to Putin about a "solution?"
Russia is a weak country, and Putin is a failed leader.
The Helsinki Surrender was seven years ago, and since 2022 it's been an ALL DAY SLAY, every day... including today.
He just needs to get back on his side of the line. That's it.
I think Trump doesn't actually realize the USA already went all in on trying to sanction and isolate Russia, including actually violating international long standing financial agreements and norms, which in turn pretty much kickstarted the global push by many nations to move away from a finance system controlled by the USA.
The Russian economy is far from "failing" in fact it's doing way better than most of the Europeans who destroyed their economies to back the CIA war.
Russia wants an end to the war badly.
But Russia has already pretty much withstood all the USA had to throw at it short of actual hot war and direct acts of war (sabotage not withstanding).
Chances are Putin is going to press hard for and not be interested in settling for less than essentially "facts on the ground" as they are now and no NATO or western forces in the Ukraine.
Trump loves playing big bully and such, that plays well with all the domestic fanbase, but won't quite work the same.
Russia is in a way stronger and better backed position than last time Trump was in office.
He is deriving a huge economic benefit from the Ukraine being unable to bring that O&G to market. World oil flow rates are a thang yo!!! And many countries are still buying his oil....and Putin will derive no benefit from this, even if he keeps putting his guys on the wrong side of the line for another 10 years.
...and Putin will pay a huge cost for this, as he's already lost an entire generation of young Russian men, the Chechens are no longer donating their bodies and blood to the SLAY, and now... LOL... the Commies up in North Korea are dying under the Hammer and Sickle banner in Eastern Ukraine.
Who's next? STEP RIGHT UP!
(anyone but nerd-kids in the Moscow suburbs)
He needs a surrender out of Trump, and he's going to get one.
He's done it before...
The sooner a negotiated settlement occurs, the better. The longer this takes, the worse off Ukraine will be.
Finally you’ve assigned the term commie to an appropriate recipient (NK).
I don’t think that word means what you think it means.Russia doesn't get a seat at the table until all the troops are back on their side of the line.
That was always the hustle, based on a psychological profile built of this-American-President: Putin says, "You are a big strong superpower, and very smart... Russia is a big strong superpower too, and I am very smart!"
Let's you and me sit at the table and "negotiate" this together over a Diet Coke, so that we can tell the totally-not-superpower countries what's going to happen to them.
The correct response is- "America is strong, you are weak, and I'm not even going to tell you what's about to happen to YOU (Hint: It's bad) if you don't get on our side of the line, and behave until... forever."
Trump is perfectly susceptible to this- it's his #1 vulnerability.
It's already been used against him by al Qaeda/ House of Saud and we are 3 days into the second term.
Oh- I did earlier, but you must have missed it... it's YOU, tovarisch.

I’ll send him your way. Your need is far more immediate than mine.Ask your handler to define it for you.

Well, WRT his/its “Correct Response” statement it would seem that DJT likely gave that statement to Putin during his first presidency. After all Putin invaded during the Brandon administration. That's a cute fairytale, but that's all that is. Pretty divorced from reality.

That's literally-exactly what happened.
This fake BS you guys slurp about "the sugar daddy" and "the cabal" --> "That is why Putin finally moved in" is literally-exactly fairytale nonsense.
He also invaded Crimea during Obama, and Georgia during G.H.W. Bush.
We should have kicked the living shit out of them in 2008 and secured the nukes in their as-is state, but we were too heavily mired down fighting two wars against... not al Qaeda and the House of Saud.
You guys who think appeasement is the best strategy for dealing with the Hammer and Sickle make me laugh.![]()
Crimea is also like 80% ethnic Russian, they voted overwhelmingly to leave Ukraine (when it's illegally installed govt happened in 2014 they didn't recognize it just like the folks in Eastern Ukraine refused to recognize it so they were labeled "domestic terrorists" boy does that approach sound familiar) and join Russia. Russia has maintained a naval base there for decades. It wasn't an invasion of Crimea it was more like a liberation from deep state cabal control.Comparing Crimea to Georgia is apples to hesco barriers. Totally different desired end states and purposes. Crimea was to set favorable conditions for what you see now.
2008 would have been to late. If that COA was desired.
It would have been better to do it shortly after the collapse of the USSR.
As you’ll recall, if your background is what you say, in 2008 we were ill equipped to prosecute LSGCO Whereas in the early/mid 90s all the required capabilities to conduct LSGCO were still in place.
Have to respectfully disagree with your last statement. I think it was an invasion to seize KT to set favorable conditions for follow on operations. Think about it, if you dont have the capacity to move all the way to the Dnieper river in one campaign what do you do? You use what you have to achieve realistic gains in support of your overall objective. And that is what he did and is doing. And that is why he will not likely make any concessions in future negotiations WRT returning territory to UKR. After ceasefire he will consolidate gains and begin the process of refit & re-arm of the Russian military with an objective of taking more of Ukraine.Crimea is also like 80% ethnic Russian, they voted overwhelmingly to leave Ukraine (with it's illegally installed govt happened in 2014 they didn't recognize it just like the folks in Eastern Ukraine refused to recognize it so they were labeled "domestic terrorists" boy does that approach sound familiar) and join Russia. yes they have more than a few nukes even boomers [subs] which have unimaginable destructive powerIs Russia still a nuclear state?

I think his statement was more directed at their capability to maintain them. Some components have a shelf life.yes they have more than a few nukes even boomers [subs] which have unimaginable destructive power
The most interesting development of this entire conflict is how the proliferation and use of drones in mass have really degraded both sides ability to mass combat power in any meaningful way. In so doing they have limited some of the utility of A2AD.
Normally I would agree but look at the timing. Russia didn't "move in" or ask them to join until AFTER 2014 when the legit govt of Ukraine was ousted for western puppet govt.Have to respectfully disagree with your last statement. To clarify, by PIR do you mean Priority Intel Requirements? There are a lot of acronyms out there. You’re not wrong.
But, what is a PIR always linked to?
And in answering that think through the staff process that generates PIR.
YesTo clarify, by PIR do you mean Priority Intel Requirements? There are a lot of acronyms out there.
it is good that we have the Rice,Nuland,Mcconnell perspective represented here so frequently. i too look forward to a nuclear exchange with Russia. i mean, their shit is deteriorated, defective, doesn't work and they are too incompetent to be able to send it. no down side for that. and of course,China would sit the whole thing out or maybe attack Russia for us. being incinerated for Zelensky,Ukraine and it's associated criminals there, here or in Europe is such a worthy goal.Russia doesn't get a seat at the table until all the troops are back on their side of the line.

so many that they won't even tell us the real numbers. Those who forget history.....
A link to a 2016 article in no less than the liberal LA times:
Russia's Got a Point
Back then in 2016 there was an ex secretary of state screaming RUSSIA,RUSSIA,RUSSIA! after losing the presidential election. Start your research THERE!
And here's a lead in from the Article:
"Moscow solidified its hold on Crimea in April, outlawing the Tatar legislature that had opposed Russia’s annexation of the region since 2014. Together with Russian military provocations against NATO forces in and around the Baltic, this move seems to validate the observations of Western analysts who argue that under Vladimir Putin, an increasingly aggressive Russia is determined to dominate its neighbors and menace Europe.
Leaders in Moscow, however, tell a different story. For them, Russia is the aggrieved party. They claim the United States has failed to uphold a promise that NATO would not expand into Eastern Europe, a deal made during the 1990 negotiations between the West and the Soviet Union over German unification. In this view, Russia is being forced to forestall NATO’s eastward march as a matter of self-defense."
And that has led to how many dead???
It's called erasing history... That's being done a lot these days.so many that they won't even tell us the real numbers.

I hope this is true. Kiev papers picked it up too.
