Primary comes in the competition models, 1.5-4lb. I believe the bravo models come with an Aero creation of the r700 trigger.

Is “long action” the only difference in the V2 coming out? I know they mentioned an abbreviated rail as an option on the hunter actions but I wasn’t sure if there were more enhancements to come.@John.Warren4 Will the new long-action Solus and chassis, and the lightweight hunter chassis be debuting that SHOT this week? I'm waiting on that magnum long-action to build my 7mm PRC on...
Personally, I don't like interrupted rails, but that's just me... The full-rail is stronger and more rigid. But it's more personal preference, because the Solus is built like a tank, regardless. Is “long action” the only difference in the V2 coming out? I want the short action but don’t want to buy a V1 and see a V2 in 2 months.![]()
I just want to double check before I order. It uses either a Savage Small-Shank with the barrel nut (nut and wrench provided in the box if you buy just the action), or you can have a shouldered-prefit made and headspaced for a Zermatt Origin. Either will work. Personally, I am not a fan of barrel nuts, I much prefer shouldered barrels that are torqued on. But that's just my preference.
assuming your solus was machined and headspaced correctlyI just want to double check before I order.
Does this mean that Zermat Origin barrels are a direct “bolt on” to Aero Solus actions?
Just to specify, most companies are now offering Aero Solus prefits, and not just Zermatt Origin. Not sure if there is any difference, but I'd tell the person building the barrel that it's an Aero Solus, and not a Zermatt Origin.I just want to double check before I order.

Here is what you need to give them, if you're having a smith custom build you a Solus prefit barrel, and they are not sure the dimensions... This is straight from Aero Precision...

Yep, I know they're the same, because Aero said they were the same, but sometimes it's best to just verify the specs with the barrel builder just incase they have some weird specs that aren't 100% accurate.I was told they did it just to simplify it because people arnt always the brightest
But i am running an orgin proof prefit on my solus and checked headspace and was good to go
This isn’t pulling up in my Amazon…. Got a link?
Unless you plan on SBR’ing it, you can’t run a stock on short barrel, that’s why they sell them as pistols.Thank you I did look at them but I an only finding pistols. Im wanting to build a rifle I have a few actions and barrels and I can buy the stock for 350 on midway right now.. it does come as a complete rifle stock. I would try and see what I can do with a 16 inch barrel but most likely will do a blackout with a 10-12 inch and form 1 it . Just seems like too good of a deal to pass up on
He says he’s going to Form 1 it. Says so right above in what you quoted.Unless you plan on SBR’ing it, you can’t run a stock on short barrel, that’s why they sell them as pistols.
Customer service for a Solus has been pretty much a non-issue. I've only ever heard of 1 guy getting an action that was missing pieces...And he did eventually get in touch with Aero, and they sent him the missing parts. Other than that, you shouldn't have any need for Aero's customer service. I have 5 Solus rifles and none of them have needed anything in probably close to 2,000 rounds (combined) now. They are great actions, and if you get one for under $800, you're getting a lot of features for the money. Thanks for the feedback. I had heard Aero was having customer service issues and Bergara was having QC issues. I'm leaning toward the Origin or CDG. I have also been looking at the EVO II.
How does the Aero Solus compare to an Origin, CDG, or Bergara Premier? Does anyone have experience with one or more of these?
Wouldn't that be production tolerance variance with the triggers, more so than the actions?I have 2 Solus actions and a CDG. I like the feel of the CDG better and the being able to adjust the trigger hanger to time it makes it feel better as well. The 2 solus actions have the same triggertech triggers and have different bolt lifts.

Also, if one trigger is older and been used more, more "broke-in", then it might be smoother in operation, therefore feeling lighter than the newer one. I have noticed this with several TT's that I have of the same model and bought at the same time, but one got used more than the other, and is lighter on bolt lift, because it's smoother in operation, because I've shot the rifle a lot more than the other one. The action is also slicker because it's had more cycles on it.Perhaps. I could measure bolt lift, swap triggers then remeasure. I've even got an extra trigger I could throw in the mix. Might have the time to do that next weekend.
