So there is a few hours to kill, so let’s catch up ?

Oh did you see, my UFO stuff is going viral on X cuz I said I taught classes at Rifles Only to the UFO guys

    IMG_0572.jpeg

So let’s light those candle. Hopefully no DEI pilots, but if there are, you have a front row seat

Did you provide overwatch for our favorite president?
No, but I saw the guys, it was funny during the rain delay we were at the top of the track, so we went down a floor to get outta the rain. On the way down watching out from the 3 rd section was a team mixed into the structure, so hard to see.

We hung out with a group of guys, who started asking shooting stuff, talked Trump, they said, where were the sniper teams, I said, 1 is right there, over my shoulder was the team, they never saw em.

Talking about flying and the DEI hires, last year flying back from AK they waved off the landing like 50ft off the ground flew us in Circles, then we went to C Springs for 4 hours, these people are no longer rated to fly is the problem. They sweat an issue cuz they know they’ll pay more when the info gets out.

Conditions have to be perfect for these DEI pilots, otherwise it’s an issue or a flight somewhere else. Their ratings are suspect and they cover it up. Hence the silence on Toronto, DEI chicks with no ratings for the conditions

The level of incompetence is through the roof, even in the airport, Hudson to get a snack, two workers by the self checkout to tell you to self check, there was another worker on the counter, we walk up, drop our stuff, are you paying with a card, sure, you have to self check out, not a single workers will touch a register, crazy, she’ll check you out with cash, but not a card, you gotta do it yourself. Nobody wants to work

Do you have any time on a Sig Cross?
    If so, thoughts?

I'm thinking of playing around with one if I can find one cheap.

6.8x51, 8.6 BLK suppressed, light hunting gun, etc.
Yes, I like an Sig Cross a lot, I like a Q Fix too, the barrels are short so you have to put then in context, but they are very good. I enjoy them.

    I want a Q Fix in 8.6 myself

What if the approaching asteroid everybody's talking about ain't an asteroid, but an invading mech dropship??? A football field sized vessel will carry enough armed robomechs to keep us busy long enough for screenwriters to get a decent script drafted.

Does everybody here have at least one bullpup rifle, PCC, or shotgun in their collection? If we are defending the planet, we GOTTA look cool while doing so. :ROFLMAO:

Not that I am aware of …not sure i heard of it
    It's the sirloin cap muscle.

You only cook it with salt and no other seasoning. You have to cut it a particular way... But daaamn you gotta try it. It's extremely good and generally about 1/3 the price of ribeye (at least where I live in Texas).

Watch this short video about it.

I subscribe to this theory, since i am famous now in UFO circles, I can spill my deep knowledge of the subject, as i am far wider read than Old Lue…

“They” say, when Eisenhower met the Beings we have hanging around, and I believe they may be local more than interplanetary. They told him, or maybe laid out some rules, but the word was, in the 1950s, (when it was all classified under DOE) the .Gov had to tell us or something was gonna happen by 2029, with a 2030 reset, maybe the great reset stuff…

But then I heard we broke the deal, or the timeline moved it shifted to 2027, but even more recently I saw they say, soon with the reports of them seeing objects in spacing heading our way.

I would not be surprised if we get reset, but wouldn’t that be cool, we are the last generation of this incarnation of the Earth

I like the idea of them being local, underwater, underground, but it also opens so many more doors

I looked it up, I may have had it in Argentina … we had a lot of meat and I want to that was one of them

We have a sous vee or however you spell it, Laura seasons it adds butter, and then we sous vee it often after which I slap it on the grill for 2 minutes
Couple of quick tips for the sous vide.

Cook your steak in the sous vide at 100 to 110 degrees for a couple of hours. Then put it on the grill to bring it to final temp while adding the crust. Add butter at this point not in the sous vide.

The girl does it and she nails it, I think she does 110 or 120 for at least an hour, but i only slap it on the grill, she does the rest
A lot of people try to put the sous vide at the final temperature they want the steak. Personally when I try that it is super easy to over do it on the final temp and the steak can be a little bit dry. Also I've found that specifically for steak if it's in there too long it doesn't work as well so I leave mine 1-2 hours max at the lower temperature.

If you two decide to mix it up some give it a go and let me know how it turns out.

    Your quick opinion please.
Which scope for a Tikka Tac A1 in .308
Just a fun gun, no competitions. Will mainly be used 600 yards and in. Occasional 1000 yards.
    Leupold MK5 HD, or
    Zeiss S3 LRP
If you like the Mk5, get the Mk4, it’s $1000 less and essentially the same scope

Zeiss LRP S3 is awesome, we run these a lot

Check out the DNT 7-35x, it’s pretty tricky for $600, nobody will know it’s sub $1k

Damn Frank, The depth and breadth of your knowledge on a lot of topics is often surprising. I respect your experience and opinion on most things. Hudson news employees, spot on. Ribeye being the best steak, exactly. However, your assessment of risk analysis and professional aviation is way off base. If you went around at 50 feet and diverted to an alternate airport it’s not because the pilots weren’t brave enough or smart enough or well enough trained. And you should be thankful that they did or it’s very likely you would’ve ended up crawling out of a crumpled up airplane.

Is Sparky " old" ? The reason I ask is , somebody was talking " firing up old Sparky " in some thread , I forget which......I suggested that it wasn't A good idea to call Sparky old, around here.
Sparky is under 40, we are 20 yrs apart … she’s not old, but definitely experienced in handling the likes of us heathens

Nah I got the alert the weather was 15 miles away NE from the airport actually on the Nebraska border heading away from us not towards us and it was a single band,

The report even told the pilot they can use another runway so … my Aviation IQ is pretty high, they blew the landing twice cause DEI hires suck, we circled and stayed in the area, lost our place in line and needed fuel, they over shot the landing twice.

@Lowlight have you had time behind a ZCO ZC840? If so, any thoughts would be appreciated :) - Richard
To me, the ZCO 840 is the scope everyone wished for, high mag, high resolution throughout the magnification range, its optical perfection.

At first I wasn’t sure about the size, i try to shoot a lot of smaller calibers, lighter rifles, so I was like, man it’s long, but after using is it, seem less to get behind it.

With Zco, I like the simplicity, they are not trying to whizz bang the features, it’s straight forward and solid. It’s really nice to be behind, and i find I can shoot on Higher magnification with the optical perfection of this scope.

See I generally have a personal sweet spot with scopes are 12-18x power. I feel the 25x cleans up around 18x, gives me enough eye box and magnification to stay behind it even during recoil. Now with the 8-40x, I am much higher in the 20x, around 27x so for smaller targets and using the reticle so much better resolution.

I am gonna talk on a video with this optic, I was just waiting on the right timing, which is probably everyday as it’s that good.

But I am religious behind it, I love my ZCo, 840 …

How much do you know about microbursts, predictive windshear warnings and the required response to them, landing performance assessments, latest touchdown point calculations, specific aircraft limitations, regulatory and air carrier policy limitations, safety management system analysis and policy, national airspace policy and procedure, minimum fuel requirements, approved weather sources (as opposed to whatever commercial report you got that said it was fine), the value and purpose of “circling” while making decisions that affect the lives of hundreds of people, or how about even the basic physics of safely managing 200,000 pounds of stuff traveling through the air at 150+ miles an hour? Because the pilots on board that airplane (the one you are currently in and the go around airplane) know all about all of that (and a whole lot more) and made the decision that resulted in a safe outcome.

DEI is an easy scapegoat but it can’t be blamed for both recent air disasters and for you SURVIVING a flight to Denver in bad weather.

I know enough about microbursts that it wasn’t happening,

We do wind and weather like a motherfucker, i get the excuse and the fear but let’s be honest here.

It wasn’t a microburst warning it was bad piloting, they blew the landing. It was a single band of weather 15 miles away, I have the alert given to the pilot

Having a go to excuse not withstanding sorry, there was no micro burst
