Let me ask you a question, you said you took up this new job 8 years after you first retired. Would you have taken it up 8 weeks after?
I am sitting here at week 3...I think, who is keeping track. And after my Friday back blowout I can walk ok, and almost sit down without supporting myself. Last time I did this I was an easy two weeks getting sorted. But the wife says I took a couple days off work, then went back in. This time I am laying down when the back starts to scream at me. I can take a "happy pill" when it really starts to bite me. Time will tell, but I think I might bounce back faster this time. And I really want to get down to my shooting area and test out some 7.5 French I made the other day.
My point is, right now I have SO MANY things I want to do. I had people asking me to come to them before I even left the Sheriff's Office. NO I don't want to work anymore, I want to piddle around on my vast number of projects. Cars, motorcycles, guns, and a TON of yard work. I did a little before the back went, and I did not even scratch the surface.
