Armalite AR10 A Semi monolithic upper?

I just came across this on Everygunpart. Do any of you have any information on this? Maybe a one-off? Something in the works?

Hopefully this is the next step for Armalite, to bring a semi monolithic upper to market. I’d jump on this but I haven’t found any barrel nut or handguard info and don’t want to spend $179 on a paperweight.

I saw that a while back and I didn’t give it much thought, thinking it was for an AR-15 at first. I then stopped visiting that page because there was nothing there that I was looking for.

I would say email them but that doesn’t work so well….

They did AR15's that were monolithic but I think the handguard was part of it. I think I still have one I won shoved in a closet. I can't remember if they did 10's the same way.

I went through all the armalite parts they had. I found an external threaded barrel nut but there was no clarification as to if it was for an ar10 or 15. No hand guards.

It’s an AR15 so neither. Think they called it COP or COPS something like that. Continuous Optic Platform is what’s in my head but I’ve been out of the game a long time so who knows. The bottom comes off to access the barrel and nut.
