Seen for sale somewhat local to me:
an M28-76 precision rifle, based on the 1891 Mosin-Nagant action. This was a development step towards the 7.62 Tkiv 85 sniper rifle.

Younger than me. Born in 1962 and started school in 1968, so ... according to nieces, nephews and a great nephew, I am probably vintage
! Therefore ... VINTAGE.
Great composition and photography. I enjoy photographing all my stuff.
Appropriate piece of laminate tracked down!
Also fitted a reproduction mount to the rifle and bolted in a post-war Hensoldt. Figured it has the holes might as well bolt an optic on for looks.

An incomplete mockup. The rifle was evidently D&T for the EGW base with 8x40 screws, which are too short for this base and I don't have any spares lying around. (Also can't figure out where the buttplate screws went.) All my 1903 stuff is going on consigment eventually but I figured it would be best to complete it first.
