EPA deregulation

What is it you're stating about current emissions mandates? That cleaner emissions is a good thing or a bad thing?

Are you implying that the air that goes into a CARB compliant Diesel is combusted and the emissions coming from the pipe are cleaner than the Air that went through the intake?
I’m not implying. I’m stating.

There’s a whole wide world beyond the lying socialist environment worshippers that have been brainwashing you

My buddies brand new dually was in the shop 95% of the first handful of months he owned it because of the DPF bullshit lol. Think it got replaced 2-3 times then he went straight 5” FTP mode

You're just spitting out what AI generated for you.... and what you're really referring to is only a level of particulate matter that gets trapped by a filter and then burned off in a regenerative process ... It doesn't really leave the air cleaner. The latest emissions are geared toward a further reduction on NOx. 10x reduction from just years prior, but still doesn't eliminate emissions

I'm not the throne who's been brainwashed .... I have worked in the heavy truck industry for decades. If you believe the "air' is cleaner coming out after going in, fully invite you to pull up a seat at your nearest tailpipe and breathe deep.

Ummm no. I have known and seen multiple people running businesses fined 5 and 6 digit funds for EPA violation.

When I worked for Suncoast Converter, some one complained about how we were storing old Transmission fluid in 55 gallon drums out back and they caught a $50,000 fine. Me and another guy are the one who were tasked with moving and rearranging things to meet the requirements.

EPA is hell on the oil industry in the Gulf of AMERICA. Raising the cost of production.

Look up the auto tuners slapped with fines in the hundreds of thousands of dollars for removing emissions equipment.

I like clean air too, but the added cost of maintenance to light and heavy duty trucks meeting those standards is a thing.

Not just your power bill, shipping and hydrocarbons cover all goods we use. When its more expensive, everything is more expensive.

Are you the guy who constantly did burnouts on Anchors street?

Keep being retarded .

You work in the heavy truck industry but dont realize alot of new stuff doesn’t have regen.

When I went to auto and diesel school I remember learning diesel was already actually cleaner than gas, but the "soot" was the issue. In most cases a simple air filter replacement would eliminate all of the soot from buses and semi trucks. Also soot falls to the earth and doesn't float around in the air because the particulates are "heavy". It's a scam. Just like farm diesel is fractions of the cost of street legal diesel. The truck doesn't know the difference.

CA really wanted to implement the IM240 smog test but dropped it in favor of the dyno test at 50% and 25% loads. Now that is basically gone with them simply plugging in the OBD2 and doing a visual. They still charge for a "certificate" and a transfer fee...but even they realized doing actual tests in the pipe with modern vehicles is a waste of time. I do not miss being a smog tech in CA. Now they hire morons to run the tests because it doesn't take skill to plug in a machine and look for an EGR and purge valve.

Thankfully they didn't go with the planned IM240. It was to place the car in a sealed box on a dyno and run for 240 seconds under a load. I can't remember the load. They wanted to measure particles of rubber coming off the tires, emissions, etc. The problem was they were picking up anything trapped in the box prior and screwed the results. I think AZ ran a version of IM240 but it was only with a probe in the tail pipe. Unsure if they still perform this or not.
