Awesome suppressor muzzle brake front end attachment by Recoilx

Awesome to hear. Appreciate you taking the criticism as only trying to be helpful.

I like the level 419 puts on the front of their brakes.

A new jam nut is being designed, and will be backwards compatible. More grip, and more tight. Still toying with being all “tooless” so it’s not another thing to take to the range. Let me know what you think?

I think either a flat on the body or a line would be easy enough to incorporate. Also may engrave logo on muzzle that could act as level line.

The constructive criticism is a drive for me. I’m in pursuit of continual perfection. Thank you for the advice, and support!
Thank you for listening to my suggestions. As soon as I got mine in and started to mess with it I immediately said it needs tweaking to be more user friendly. Again I know not everyone wants/needs changes. Don’t worry about it being tool free as a many including myself carry tools regardless for matches. As long as you give people options that’s a good thing. The nut can still tighten by hand but also allow a wrench to grab onto for the extra umph. As they say, it’s the little things.

I like the idea of an alignment line on the top of the brake, if for no other reason that it seems simple to incorporate. But…

My suppressor doesn’t have a corresponding alignment line. Nor does the muzzle of my rifle. And, the reticle of my scope isn’t leveled to the rifle, but to how I hold the rifle.

@RecoilXBrakes what happened to the SiCo Bravo option on the website?
I already sold out of the 30 cal Bravo brakes. I’ve already got an order for more under way.

I dont have lead times set in stone, so I dont want people back ordering right now. I need to add a list to my website regardless of the availability, because I’m adding 4 more brakes.

With this new order we’re adding Aero Lahar, AB Raptor, JK/Energetic Armament(1-3/8x24), CGS cans.

currently stalking your site waiting for that Lahar!

Following.

Just ordered one for deadair/diligent defense.

I’m going to throw it on an enticer S-Ti I have and direct compare it to a Magnus-k-RR I have too.

I’ve got a nomad and a sandman-K collecting dust because as a lefty I dislike them shitting in my face on my gas guns. Sounds like I’m about to breathe new life into these paperweights. I’ll try them on my 18” 308 bolt gun. Right now it has a gen1 TBAC Ultra7 that has a decent push to it. That short barrel with a hellfire brake shoots soft but cracks hard.

Strapped the .338 cal (because it was in stock) RecoilX to a Dead Air Nomad with direct thread adapter to my 308 pictured above. Shot 70 rounds through it at targets from 600 to 1000 in prone and off a fatboy tripod. Fought the mirage quite a bit due to no suppressor cover but I’ll fix that soon, looking at some can chaps currently.

This thing works. Best I can describe, it softens the recoil impulse of your suppressor while still sounding like a suppressed shot. If I had to put a number on it I’d say 35/40 % reduction in the push you feel. My muzzle barely jumped off the target in prone on the long distance shots and I was able to spot all my hits and misses. No degradation in accuracy as far as I could tell.

I always wear ear pro so this thing makes a lot of sense for me. I can’t see using a suppressor without one unless I planned to have naked ears.

The only challenges I had was, it is tricky (for me) to time it just right with a tight jam nut. And twice while letting the rifle cool off I noticed the brake was loosened to where I could turn it easily. I think it came loose from recoil and from things getting hot and then cooler.

Got it home and tightened it again, so we’ll see if I can get the hang of it and if it settles in and stays put.

I bought another one in the exchange. I’m going to put it on a sandman-k and install it on my 28” 6.5 CM. Seems like it will be a nice concussion reducer.

All in all, pretty damn cool.

After a long weekend at a NRL Hunter match i have decided i like the brake but would like another nut option, maybe as a replacement later on? Something to get a little better torque on. Several other at this match said the same thing. Thanks for great products. Pretty sure i saw 10 or so at this match in West Texas.

FYI, to anyone using a can cover with one of these silencer brakes, they seem to direct significant heat and blast backwards. Enough that it ate into and melted parts of the front of a new AG cover and I'll likely need to replace it. This was with the cover more than an inch or two behind the brake.

Is what it is.

You shooting on a gas gun?

Shot Quantified Performance this past weekend with one on my Velos 762 and was pretty pleased, though definitely agree that the jam nut needs more grip or texture as I couldn’t get it tight enough that it wouldn’t losen up after a few stages of shooting.

I have ag covers and recoil x on both sico scythe ti and diligent enticer sTi and do not have this problem with the covers sitting right up to the jam nut. Maybe your cover is a dud?

Just letting you all know, my website is now live.

SiCo Bravo, Dead Air/Diligent Defense, and Texas Silencer have all sold out, but more are already on the way(Tentatively planning on first part of March). Pre-orders are live and will be fulfilled on a first-come, first-serve basis. I will try to notify those that want to wait for re-stock.

SiCo Charlie, and Banish 30 still in stock, ready to ship.

Please reach out if you have any question's.

ETA on more banish 30’s?

I got mine out for the first time today. Not an apples to apples comparison. I mounted the recoilX on a Nomad, and shot it against a Thunder Chicken. Both from a 12.5” 6.5 Grendel.

After dicking with the RecoilX for a bit, I decided to just screw it on until it bottomed out, then tighten the lock ring. It was 5 or so degrees off level.

Wearing Axil electronic ear plugs, I didn’t notice an increase in report vs the thunder chicken. Seated from a bench, it was marginally easier to stay on target through recoil with the recoilX.

The 6.5 Grendel is a kitten, so probably not the best test bed for the thing, but I’d rate it better than “does no harm.” I only shot from 50 yards but even at that range it was easier to stay on target through recoil.

I have a nomad L and a 6.5 ultra 7 (and a bunch of loud AR cans).

Will the nomad L with a brake be louder to my ears than the ultra 7?

I like this idea but not if it's uncomfortable for popping a deer without ears.
