A co-worker and I are looking at shooting some of the 2025 Geissele Gas Gun Series matches this year. Some questions for anyone that's shot in previous years:
  1. Where does the match pace fall on a PRS->Quantified Performance->2-gun/PCSL scale?
  2. Would you ever use tripod rear or tac table style techniques?
  3. Lost brass or full brass-goblin?
  4. Average rifle target size in mils?
  5. Practiscore page mentions off-hand, how common is that? Does it happen enough to make a full gamer weight build a bad idea?
Thanks in advance for any and all answers.

@BurtG You've shot these before, right?
Yes.
Awesome fun time.
Is scored time style.
Can spot / shot call.

A few off hand shots probably 3-5+ per match. At large targets from 50 to I think the one was 280
I use a fairly heavy rifle and am not the strongest person and do fine.
4x works fine for me although I do want to try a offset dot to save a few seconds.
Oh there’s a fair amount of pistol too

Difficulty / target sizes . Idk I’m not the best shooter and place too 5 every time. I may or may not practice accuracy though volume. Targets are mostly generous. Bigger than prs for sure.

Oh they raffle off a pile of stuff so even if your last place have opportunity to win rifle uppers triggers etc

You are expected to pick up brass but you end up losing some in props etc. I shoot 556. 6arc and 556 seem to be the best to use.

I’ve seen people do tripod rear once. It’s a time based match so you’re paying time penalty and most of the targets are large. And like most matches seems they are geared towards people without tripods.

Also there’s pistol almost every stage. I’m blind so I highly recommend a red dot of some sort Have to hit the one plate rack high or they don’t fall over also

I assume most guys run 18"-24" barrels? Leaning towards my 18" Grendel but a 14.5 5.56 could be fun if the average distance trends shorter.
