Getting ready to work up two loads for my AXSR AI barrel, 27” 300 Norma with the 215 Berger Hybrid and 230 A-Tip and looking for info on what I should consider the max charge weight for these. I’ve read the 300 Norma thread and my loading manuals and the max seems to vary by several grains depending on the source.
I’m using H-1000
Lapua brass
9 1/2M primers are what I could source.

Would appreciate any guidance on this.

Been researching as well. Just got all the components together to start loading 300NM for DTA. I went through the entire 300NM load stickey and that was helpful but still somewhat all over the place. Best I get is somewhere around 87+ grains with 215 Bergers is when to start paying attention so to speak as a max charge. Folks are loading and shooting with no pressure signs well over the published data in most cases.

I actually used AI to crawl the threads and websites and it came up with 86-87 grains too but I didn’t want to put all my faith in that. I hadn’t originally planned on going much over 85 so I guess I’ll just keep an eye out as I work up.

I shoot a Terminus Zeus in 300 NM with a 28" MTU bartlein. I have my best load down to the following.

Peterson brass
230gn Berger Hybrid
Federl match magnum primers
84 gns H-1000.

This yields a MV averge of 2995 fps with an sd of 6.2 across a 40 shot sampling.

In my set up thats also max, 1/2 gn more and I see pressure signs, YMMV
