Time pieces/Watches?

The rock skipper. Any help would be appreciated. I was just on the site couple days ago I believe and it was working.
Pagoda site is back up. Must have been some wierd stuff going on today. Like I said, my e-mail collapsed and several sites I visit were down.

So expect no issues. If you need to contact them:

[email protected]

Cheers!

Thank you. I was able to send them an email earlier to get info on shipping. When I couldn't get on website, I may have gotten myself into a little bit of a panic. With the holidays and international shipping along with customs probably should've been a little more patient. My actual order date was 12/22.

They posted on Facebook yesterday.

But let me check at home cause I probably have a phone number for them. Or your order slip wood. Appears the domain expired. That said there’s all kinds of weird stuff going on with the Internet today. My emails not working. I’ve had numerous phone outages. So either there’s some giant solar crap going on or we are under cyber attack yet again.

Cheers and which watch did you order? Nice to see another enthusiast here.
My Rock Skipper showed up Wednesday. Came in a very nice case. Delayed and spent several days in Memphis due to weather issues as indicated by the tracking information history. My first high end watch. Very nice. Now I want the Tactical 1 Charlie model. 🤣

They are like potato chips!!

But Congrats!!!! Post some pix!!!

If you want to look at something to complement it… take a look at Elliott Brown. Their Holton Quartz is the current SBS issue and is not a bank breaker. Rock solid. Their Beachmaster is amazing.

Looked at the Elliotbrown site as you suggested. Think you're trying to lead me down the road to another addiction. :) Either the Holton Nivo or the Beachmaster Nivo, which is looking really tempting. I'll hold off for the moment and think about it. Really enjoying my Rock Skipper . Don't need another expensive hobby right now, trying to control my new found attachment to high end 1911's that I developed about a year ago.

Today is a good sub day... bought new in 1989 or so. Better than my 401K....

That said, sent in for Rolex service and the motherfuckers replaced my hands with brand new... and so the whole gorgeous patina is gone. And now they look all wrong. So sending to Terry to refit 'old' hands. I can't tell you how pissed I am at Rolex for replacing my original hands. NO.... they didn't light up like they did in 1989. But they had perfect aging and those 'hands' had been around the world with me. Fucking Rolex service SUCKS!

Terry has a set of hands for me that will 'match' the originals. But Rolex can suck my fucking wankie for their unforgiveable bullshit policy of 'restoring to new' with utter disdain for historical importance.

Cheers,

Sirhr

PS. I don't bother to set the date any more. I mostly know what day of the month it is. And when I don't... I don't give a flying fuck!
Reminds me of the time I had a Yamaha service center replace some fork seals in my bike. Mind you these forks had Traxxion dynamics AK 20 cartridges and the forks were polished on a lath for 0 stiction.
I got them back and the forks were all rough up with I don’t know what they used, but they said they do that to knock down any imperfection’s on legs that might compromise the new seals. My mirror finished fork legs were absolute toast !
I was Fucking livid !!!
Bike tech was an absolute Moron not to notice the mirror finished fork legs and think to himself I think I will dull this up a bit.

Another one for the collection, starting to think I might have a problem :)
Jaeger-LeCoultre Master Compressor 001 - Copy.jpg

Needs a strap change. Might go Toad skin, but not fully decided yet!

This is totally cool! IMHO!

Hamilton Aircraft Navigation clock. One of the more complicated ones. Only made 1944-1945 by Hamilton and Elgin.

It has 417 parts to it.

A date for the calendar which is the left small dial that is called the civil date. Top small dial is a minute time recorder which ends at 60 minutes, the far right is your small second hand which is always working, and the bottom small is your elapsed time in hours. Big and small hands are your normal hour/minute hands but in a 24 hour clock face. The large thin hand is your stop watch hand. Push the top right button and that starts your stop watch. Hit it again and it pauses. Hit it again and it resets the stop watch hand and will reset the minute counter dial small hand and hour hand.

It works and keeps pretty good time but the stop watch hand isn't functioning properly. It has to go in for service.

Also the face/dial will illuminate under UV lighting.

I'll either make a custom wood display case that I'll have my son help me with as he likes working with wood or will 3d print a display holder. Also will install a UV light that will face the clock face so when you turn it on in the dark it will look something like this....

Nice collection. A Rolex Submariner with the Pepsi dial on it is on my bucket list.
Thanks. Tha's just a sampling. My "nicest" piece is my Seamaster. Someday I'll crack open a Rolex for a servicing. Nothing against Rolex, as they make fine products, I just feel like the Omega's are a better value.

I’ll look it up and put it on my list.

I do like my Hanhart I posted pic’s of way back in the beginning of this thread somewhere. Just wish it was an original WW2 German pilots watch.

I can't get past, it is a swatch. Plus it really ticked me off the games they played with their movements several years ago

Would any of you watch gurus know where I can track down a Sekio like Gen. Schwarzkoph wore during Desert Storm?
I think you are looking for is the 7548-700B. The "B" indicates a Pepsi bezel. It will have the Suwa Seikosha mark as well as "Water 150m Resist" on the face. This one has been well loved but for a watch that is 41 years old it isn't bad and I kinda dig the patina.

The fact that bezel isn't beat to shit is impressive to say the least but I am not sure if it is orginal. Lastly, you'll need a bracelet to make it really accurate. Good luck! The 7548s are becoming more scarse by the day!

Depends which Seiko you mean as interestingly Ol' Stormin' Norman famously wore two watches during DS and apparently but of them Seiko's. https://www.watchesofespionage.com/blogs/woe-dispatch/double-wristing-stormin-norman

In the quotes he mentions the brand only once in reference to one wrist, so make of that what you will as to just how accurate those reports are.
