Here is what really happened
80 lb pack, 45 degree slope of loose gravel and nastiness, loads of deadfall to climb over, 16+ miles in a day (half loaded heavy), elevations 9,000 to 11,500
You could tell he was tired, we all were.
Not one bit of whining or complaining.
Hate to admit it and he is one tough dude.
But we still put tampons, pads, and midol in his pack to help him through.
I got to talk to Mike a few weeks ago about a rifle. Hopefully someday but the funds I had saved just went bye bye . Wife is at 32 weeks and we are in the hospital.

Truthfully I have a bunch of bags but unless you need to “drag” it..I use cheap Plano type hard cases.
Lots more protection, they stack and stand up easier too.
Plus you always have a pack/ bag for the extra stuff so having “storage” in the gun bag is redundant and never as good.
I bought a few of these..they are great.
Inside is adjustable had all kinds of straps.
And the hard bottom is great, it really does stop it from getting gross or torn up.
Huh, didn’t know Granite Gear also made nylon gun stuff. They know what they’re doing with backpacks, that’s for sure. $650 is steeeep!
And boy, do they need to upgrade their pics! ML, do you have any better ones? They don’t even have a snap of the side opposite the backpack strap side.
