French Interior Minister Bruno Retailleau has announced that Omar bin Laden was deported for glorifying or inciting terrorism on social media. Bin Laden, who now lives in Qatar after several years in France, has denied that he was behind the posts.
According to Retailleau, "bin Laden cannot return to France, for whatever reason ."
Omar bin Laden, a citizen of Qatar, obtained a residence permit in France in 2016 through his marriage to British woman Jane Felix-Browne, a mother and grandmother with five divorces and more than two decades older than Omar. After the marriage, which attracted considerable media attention when it was confirmed in 2007, she took the Muslim name Zaina Mohamed Al-Sabah. They settled in the town of Domfront-en-Poiraie in Normandy in 2018, where he became an “artist” during the corona lockdown.
