Or Bison... or Eland. Or Croc. or lion. Don't need solids for thin-skinned animals...

Now elephants, hippos, rhinos and Cape Buffalo's... better pack solids!

But unless you want to bring lots of guns... downloaded soft points are your friend!

There's a well known ammo maker who thinks they're the berries for black bear, and apparently has killed more than few with them, but the way I've seen them come apart on deer made me think that wasn't a great idea. (The Rem 405s)

Not advocating for the Rem 405's... If I am loading for anything 'critical' I'll always pick Barnes.

There's other good makers out there. But I have plenty of recovered Barnes and they hold together great! Solids are awesome, too!

Black bears are a lot easier to kill than most think. .30-30 is plenty. Friend of mine when he was a kid killed a huge one with an old .25-20. Took him a full magazine... but the bear dropped dead! My one and only bear (big black) was with a .300 blk. Not exactly a powerhouse... but three in the chest worked just fine.

Now brown bears... whole different story!

Anyhoo... I don't load Remington boolits. So can't vouch for them. But not sure I'd trust one in a big nitro caliber! When they are designed for... other stuff. And will take your word that they can come apart!

Starting using them in my angry little .45-70 because the 300gr Rem JHP's I had been using really let me down (lack of penetration).

The only Nitro Express thing I have, and am likely to ever have (lol) is a .450/400 which I load to very untraditional levels, 300gr TSX's at 2700fps.

(they don't come apart, even in sand ) ;)

All my other big .45's all shoot big hunks of lead, often wrapped in paper.

Solids work well on the little stuff ( klipspringer, duiker, etc.) they don't blow huge holes in the small critters.

I have to admit i haven't pictured Osama Bin Laden's son quite like this and to top it of runing around with a some Grandma

French Interior Minister Bruno Retailleau has announced that Omar bin Laden was deported for glorifying or inciting terrorism on social media. Bin Laden, who now lives in Qatar after several years in France, has denied that he was behind the posts.

According to Retailleau, "bin Laden cannot return to France, for whatever reason ."

Omar bin Laden, a citizen of Qatar, obtained a residence permit in France in 2016 through his marriage to British woman Jane Felix-Browne, a mother and grandmother with five divorces and more than two decades older than Omar. After the marriage, which attracted considerable media attention when it was confirmed in 2007, she took the Muslim name Zaina Mohamed Al-Sabah. They settled in the town of Domfront-en-Poiraie in Normandy in 2018, where he became an “artist” during the corona lockdown.
