Meh, I didn't read anything blood boiling. He helped a developer, and the developer donated to the campaign.
Not defending it but happens all the time across this country. He is cooperating with ICE deporting illegals in the same neighborhood. If he had steered them away from the area that would be more of an issue.

Nope. I voted for Allen West in the primary. The fact that we got Abbott as the candidate shows how purple Texas is becoming.
Abbott is an admitted globalist. The only people who like him are the "middle of the road" republicans, and the people who he has managed to fool all this time. He does just enough to keep the true conservatives hanging on. I was really hoping Allen West would get the nomination last time, but too many Californians and Nor'easterners moved into the state for that to happen.
The problem with Colony Ridge is that it is a cartel hotbed full of illegals. Abbott had to know this. It only exists because of Abbott's corruption.

I have spent most of my life in places with shitloads of land such as BLM or other federal or state public land. Until I had to live in the shithole others refer to as Texas, I had never even considered paying some asshole for permission to hunt a deer or catch a fish or launch a projectile. I could hike for days and camp pretty much where ever I want.
Try that in the shithole others refer to as Texas.
Now that I own a good bunch of land (and the mineral rights) of my own in a state other than the shithole others refer to as Texas, I still feel the same.
Leave that shithole with Tejas tags on your truck and see how unwelcome you actually are everywhere else you go. The vast majority of Tejans are insufferable assholes and not self aware enough to realize that no body fucking cares how they do it in Tejas.

Concealed carry/ gun laws were ridiculous when I was stationed in TX up until 2017, ex 30.06 and 30.07 ….Im currently stationed in Oregon and it’s less regulated here to carry and where you can carry etc . Being stationed all over the country I agree with @Aftermath concerning the lack of public land in Texas

I lived there pre-Kalifornia invasion, pre-Biden open border. I can only imagine how much it has improved.
States like Nevada, Wyoming, Idaho and Alaska LOVE, LOVE, LOVE that you pay your taxes to keep all that public land open and available to all while not increasing the property taxes within their own states.
To be fair, I believe what he said was; “I should be able to hunt, fish, and shoot on YOUR land without your permission and without negotiating trespass rights.”
