That looks like AMEE.
They don't even need to be autonomous. Remote control via HDTV and standard gaming controller is sufficient enough. A squad of hardcore gamers with hundreds of hours clocked on CoD or Modern Warfare can pilot these things right up enemy combatants' asses even if they are running zig to zag.
After opperating heavy equipment a large portion of my adult life, it's amazing how easy it is for a kid that plays video games to pick it up? But still no substitute for experience in practical application.

We've already got a Federal government that wants to put in place prison sentences for people who write stuff about them on the Web.
Their own Senators and MP's (Members of Parliament) regularly troll their opponents with fake profiles, and spread all kinds of crap..... with impunity.
Our Prime Minister was sacked from two ministerial positions when he was in Cabinet, hence the derogatory nickname "Scotty from Marketing".
Quite possibly the most corrupt and incompetent, fascist leaning government, Australia has ever had.
