    My thoughts on loading equipment

A A 6br is very short as well and I don’t have any issue trimming it on the Giraud, I’m sure the BLK would work just as well.

    My thoughts on loading equipment

I’ve seen the same video and while the video is very informative it does make the set up seem complicated. When I received my Promentheus it literally took me 30 minutes to un box it set it up and start throwing charges. It’s really a very simple machine to set up a operate. Takes about 10...

    My thoughts on loading equipment

I have never used the Giraud on a 300blk so I can’t really say. I use it on cartridges that I shoot in high volume, 6.5x47, 6br, 223, and 6.5 creedmoor. For the rounds I use just for hunting and only shoot 100 or so of a year I still use the Wilson trimmer. The Giraud excels at speed and...

    My thoughts on loading equipment

Yes I have several friends that have the Fx120 set with the auto trickler and auto throw set up. They are very happy with it as well. Problem I had with the satorious was mainly due to where my loading bench is set up. I first started in the attic and had it suspended from the rafters by a...

    My thoughts on loading equipment

You can be equally successful with way less I agree. I’ve been down that road. The biggest improvement to me is the time savings that these pieces of equipment bring to the table while still maintaining a high level of consistency. Can you throw a perfectly weighted charge of powder with a $200...

    My thoughts on loading equipment

We spend tens of thousands of dollars on custom rifles/optics chasing accuracy. We spend thousands of hours looking for that magical load to go along with those custom guns. But when it comes to quality reloading equipment that saves us time and give us exacting results every time we want to...

    Chassis?

I’ve had 4 of your chassis and absolutely love them. I have an Envy on the way to try out for a switch barrel. I’ve been looking for a bag rider but can’t find one on your site. Is the one pictures available from XLR?

    .223 eldm

I’ve done it in ADT mags, they will take a OAL of 2.310. I don’t have my notes in front of me but the velocity sucked due to the case capacity being reduced by the bullet. They did shoot good though

    .223 eldm

TxSteel is correct on the 73’s being as heavy as you can go in an AR with the eld’s. My AR loves them, they have a good BC for weight and do very well out to 800 yards.

Applied Ballistics vs Actual Data - Truing The Right Way

I’ve had the custom curves be drastically off just like your seeing with a certain bullets, with other bullets they will be spot on. I spoke with AB about this and at first they said it was me or my equipment, now they are checking into this a bit further to see what’s causing the custom curves...

    Carbon rings..

I’m the one that cleaned the rifle in the picture, all that was used was CLR so if it doesn’t work on carbon why are the patches black? I clean my suppressor with CLR it eats carbon up better than anything I’ve tried.

    Magnetospeed vs Calculated MV

It worked for me from 1000 out to 1682 yards with my 6.5x47 but what concerned me was if the MV had to be increased that much it could throw it off at other ranges under different conditions. I hope they do what they say and look into updating the drag models and correct these issues. I would...

    Magnetospeed vs Calculated MV

I have this same problem with AB using the Custom Curves and the 140 RDF’s. In order to get the predictions to match actual AB increase my velocity almost 50 fps. I contacted AB and was told something was wrong with my data or rifle. When I brought this up on another forum they said they’d look...

    Scope mount questions

Both are good mounts and you won’t regret either. Congratulations on the 6 DTI I had one a few years ago and it was a prairie dog killing machine. It shot the 87 vmax like a lazer beam

Rifle Scopes Reticle "shift" when adjusting magnification

Thank you, I talked to NF this morning and they said it was fine that some just do that. I zeroed it a few minutes ago and then shot 8 rounds all at different magnification and they all when into a hole about the size of a dime so I don’t think it’s going to cause an issue in poi.

    Building the Perfect Reloading Room

I use concrete countertops in most of my house builds, yes you can dye them or stain them but they still need to be sealed. I wouldn’t recommend them for a loading bench though because it’s going to be difficult to mount anything to them. Also the concrete tends to warp slightly as it sets up...
