    Re: Rem 5R .223 ammo to start with? I get great results out of my 5R .223 using remanufactured Black Hills 69 grain SMKs. About .75 moa or so at 200 yards. For cheap plinking at steel I use American Eagle 55 grain. That is around 1 to 1.25 moa upto 300 yards.
