Thanks! I have read a few threads on that. I’ll give it a try.

Ever cut yourself doing primer picket uniform ing?

Google it. Supposedly makes the primer pocket more uniform and helps with consistent ignition, sort of like the name. Worth it? I don’t know, but it is a great tool for cleaning the pockets. I’m starting to like aSupersubes reply! It is a Pain in the ass!

old thread I know, but same subject... Anybody been successful with these in a 204 Ruger? Using a tenacity action.

    .204 Ruger

There is a lot of data on internet regarding 204’s long jump. I just ordered a new barrel and the smith used his stock reamer and the closest I could get was 0.020 from the lands. (I would have to go look at how much bullet was in the case) I tried from 0.080 to 0.021 and best result was at...

    Impact of varying jump distance

I got my Tenacity 204 Ruger prairie dog rifle finished - XLR chassis, Huber trigger, and Muller works barrel. Doing load work ups I found the throats on 204s are pretty long. Almost no bullet in case to get to lands. Anyway, I thought I’d share my results from varying jump from 80 thousands to...

OAL for 60gr Vmax in a 223 AI bolt gun build?

You make some good points! Prairie dog gun so I’ve been thinking 12 twist for light bullets. Haven’t bought the barrel yet so I’m open. MDT magazine so I can get fairly long (rough measure is 2.47”). I also plan to single load when prairie dog shooting so I don’t mess with Loading a magazine. I...

OAL for 60gr Vmax in a 223 AI bolt gun build?

I am having a 223 AI bolt Action gun built and plan on 60gr vmax as heaviest bullet. I know for an AR you are limited to magazine length, but for a bolt action which will be chambered to my requested length, what should I go with? May not be able to give a number for an answer, but thoughts? I...

    Kids and side x sides

The 9 year old was driving and I said stop but she hit wrong pedal and ran up on a tree! We were wearing seat belt and nobody was injured. Turned it back over and on our way. kids in our neighborhood drive them on the roads without helmets or adults and way too fast. Very concerning...be careful!

What gun related item(s) have you bought during the Pandemic?

Took advantage of the XLR chassis buy one get one at half off and the area 419 sale on Tenacity actions. Building a couple of prairie dog rifles.

    Is ATF at work??

I think my issue was the wrong form revision and they just don't process vs telling me wrong form. on the question of background check, in Louisiana no call is made if you have a concealed carry permit.

    Is ATF at work??

looking at your link I notice there was a revision to the form, so I may fill out a new one and re-submit. (I put the OMB number thinking that was the form number. I don’t understand their numbering system! I edited above to show E-form 5320.20. I send it to the fax/email on the last page and...

    New Hunting Rifle Build

I have a Tract scope that I really like for $794. they have a t plex or BDC reticle. tractoptics.com The only wood aftermarket hunting stock I have tried was a Boyd’s laminate. It was ok, but your best bet would be to look for a take off Remington stock and have it bedded. Personally, while I...

Range Report 300 blackout bullets: light, medium or heavy?

I use the 110 Barnes with great results on deer and hogs. In an AR with collapsible stock for length of pull, it works really well with the younger grandkids deer hunting. I limit them to 150 yards since they aren’t capable of further anyway. I do consider using a different, ie cheaper, bullet...

Sidearms & Scatterguns So the bastard child (40s&w) is now popular again?

I saw that! That was a big implant. I wonder what the bullet was since it sure didn’t perform very well. Should we all encourage our women to get them for self defense?😂😂

    Suppressors Thunder Beast vs?

I posted earlier that I love my 7 and 9 and while I won’t say there is nothing like TBAC, since I haven’t shot all of them, I will say I love mine. I have shot well over 500 rounds in my 7 and it still shoots 1/2 MOA - on a couple of custom rifles. (And I do shoot 5 rd groups) I might clean one...
