22 Creedmoor Whidden dies - current quality control?
Don't shoot a 22 Creedmoor (yet! :)), but I cannot recommend Whidden dies. I only have one set of Whidden dies, but wouldn't buy another set. They have some kind of a coating on the inside of the die (almost like a chrome plating). This coating has flaked off near the top of the neck on my...- Rimfiremike

Alpha Brass - Good Stuff!
Thanks guys! If I can get the Alpha for similar price to Lapua and it's just as good or better and also don't have to bother with special size pins in my universal decapper for SRP brass, I'm going to give it a try. Good powder I can use for a 223
I am with several others that have recommended CFE 223. It meters very well in any powder measure and has been the best powder for me in a couple 223's, 20 Practical, and 6 BR. Plan to experiment with it in 224 Valkyrie soon as well. I've tried 335, 8208, TAC, BL-C2, W748, Varget, etc and many...- Rimfiremike

88 ELD-M in .223 Rem
Thanks for the info on better results jumping the 88's from 30 to 40. I have been jumping ELD's in other calibers closer to 20 with good results, but will load up some of the 88's with a bit more jump to try out.- Rimfiremike

In what way was the SRP brass better than the LRP brass? Better than Lapua also? ...if so, in what way? Is the flash hole in the SRP regular size or smaller like Lapua?- Rimfiremike
