I'm an experienced handloader from benchrest. I'm looking for a lead on what the 6.5mm creedmore likes, or the popular components being used (bullets, brass, powder).
The other thing I would like to find is a "bump die". My preference is to bushing size the neck to just shy of the shoulder joint and bump the shoulder back 0.002". I can find bushing dies, but not shoulder bumpers.
Any suggestions?

The rig I have on order is a Ruger Precision Rifle and Vortex Viper 5-25x - 50 scope. Hope to ring as tight a groups out of this as possible.

I use Alpha brass, Reloder 16, and Hornady 140 ELDMs. Check the other reloading section for load data from other members using just about every powder, bullet, or brass imaginable

From my reading the magic pixie dust for 6.5 is H4350 and RL16. Brass is small primer Lapua (I use Norma large primer as at this moment I am far more likely to hunt with the gun than shoot competitively) and I have seen lots of talk about Horandy ELD-M 140''s and 147's. For my bump die I am using a Redding body die to set the shoulders back and full length size the case. I have tested setting neck tension with a Lee Collet Die and with a Redding busing type die with the titanium Collet. The Lee Collet die is giving me slightly less runout so I am going to go with that.

Do not fear FL sizing. It can be your friend with a factory chamber. 6.5 CM section of the "Reloading Depot" forum right here should answer all of your questions.

In my 6.5cm Im running Hornady brass, Fed210M primers, 43.0 gr of RL16, sitting under a Berger 140 Hybrid. Base to ogive is 2.265” which is 0.015 thou off the lands in my gun. 5 shot groups average .290”-.550”. Runs a tad long, but im also running the MDT mags without the binder plate so they fit without problem.

40.5 h4350, 140 ELDM and primer of choice = tiny groups. I run 41.7 h4350 140 ELDM fed 210m. Makes 2770 in 24 inch tube. Rl16 would be my choice for a hunting load, but not for everyday. Its to damn dirty and builds a carbon ring extremely fast. I saw pressure after 100 rnds on warm days. Sneaky shit!!!
