    CZ 457

Dang... that 457 in the Manners stock looks awesome! I'll be interested to see what the reports on the 457 are after they are out for a while. Really like my CZ455 varmint with SST, but it could use a sibling if the new ones are even better!

Ruger Precision Rimfire with a Lilja barrel.

Thanks for the posting! Will keep an eye on this to see how it does with other ammo as you test things out. Would be interested in a RPR if a good barrel can get it to shoot small, consistent groups.

    What's a good starter precision 22?

I have a CZ455 varmint, fluted, laminated thumbhole stock and set trigger that was less than a precision trainer and shoots as well or better. Have also had a varmint Savage with laminated stock that shot almost as good as the CZ. Can't go wrong with either to start out. The Savage will save...

    KRG Bravo Chassis

... thinking hard about using a tan Bravo for one of my Nucleus actions that just showed up. With my stainless barrel, would look just like the rifle on the bottom and I'm really liking how that looks! Thanks for posting the pics!

    .224 Valkyrie

Thanks for sharing... planning to build a 224 Valkyrie and have a bunch of CFE 223 for other calibers that I want to start experimenting with. Will keep an eye on this thread!

Hunting & Fishing Another rifle question

Nothing wrong with the 300 Win Mag... great caliber for hunting pretty much anything! The biggest 'issue' I see is that he only wants one gun. If only one gun and he spends any time out practicing, 300 WM can be expensive and hard on recoil for extended range sessions. Unless he is going after...

PRS Talk Should I just accept that I'll lose most of my brass at a match

Losing a few pieces is to be expected, no problem with that. Every event I've been to, squad mates pick up brass for each other. Goes quickly that way, and why not? I do this for fun. Wouldn't sign up for an event that said I couldn't pick up my brass. Yeah, sure I'm cheap, but also rubs me...

PRS Talk Whats the popular caliber these days?

Pretzel, or anyone else that is shooting 6BR or variant... Is the go-to for 6BR to feed properly a Primal Rights AICS conversion kit? If so, is your experience with AI magazines? If not, what brand? Saw that PVA also sells a 6BR conversion kit, but doesn't have any in stock? Anyone have...

PRS Talk So where to start?

As others have said, go to a match close to you with minimal gear. I had never done a PRS style match, but thought it would be fun, so I called the guy that was listed as the match director. He was great and highly encouraged me to come shoot a match with what I had. He also lent me bags to...

    Brass Annealing Guide

I like to tinker, so last winter I ordered a few parts and used others I already had around the house to build an annealer based off the Skips DIY plans floating around on the web. Total cost was around $80. After some minor tweaking it runs perfect and annealing is so easy, it has become a...

    Rifle Scopes Burris XTR3!!!

Very interested to see an XTR III in the flesh. I liked the XTR II enough to buy one, but after living with it for a while, a lot of the things mentioned in this thread led to me eventually selling it. (milky glass, CA, weak illumination, clicks not as tactile as I would like) It sounds like...

    Bipods

I've only had Harris bipods and they have served me pretty well. Tried a Harris knock-off once and couldn't get rid of it fast enough. Atlas bipods sure look nice. What am I missing out on? I've shot a couple of PRS style matches and they were a blast, so I plan to start shooting a lot more...

MDT Black Friday Sale is Live!

Wow, what a great deal on mags! Wish I had seen this on Black Friday... wouldn't care how long the wait was. Will be watching next year in case it happens again! :)

    ARC Mags

Dang... glad I found this thread. About to build up my Nucleus action and was planning to buy a couple ARC mags for it. Second guessing that now! Would AI or MDT be a better bet? Stick with Magpul? Or take a chance that ARC will run fine in the Nucleus?

    Anybody road bike?

Raced road for a lot of years and also tons of great mountain biking in Utah. My son now races high school mtn bike, so we spend a lot of time riding together. Pretty cool to be able to participate in a high school sport with your kid. One of the coolest road races around here is Lotoja... one...

    DIY Reloading Bench

Was just looking through here for ideas for a new reloading room and bench. The U-shaped bench is a great way to have things within reach but still have a lot of bench space! Saved a picture and will definately incorporate some this when I get going 9n the new space!

    Easy Weapon mounted Dope Card

Read the idea by Eustice above and had one of the gear ties laying around... super simple and it works great! Cut up card stock into pieces so I can write the dope for each stage on a separate card and slip in the ID badge sleeve. Thanks!
