    I have the USO 1-8 and its an awesome optic! Great eye box, true 1x and it does what it was designed to do. Glass is clear and sharp. People that say they hate them are nit-picking to the point where its not really noticeable. OP good luck!

    ive done so much homework before ordering the gen 2. my biggest thing was that I wouldn't use this particular rifle much. maybe 10x yearly or slight less. i then looked into cheaper options but said what the hell just buy it and enjoy it right?

    You got a toss up. I went gen 2 because of the warranty and it was cheaper than NF. NF will be lighter if that's more important for you. Glass wise, they will be similar since optics at that price range will pretty much be the same. Good luck!

    T5xi will have better glass than the XTR2 but $500 worth? I would think so. lennyo3034 I heard DMR and DMRII are pretty similar glass wise. I've heard the T5xi is slight better than the DMRII, but I don't think the DMRII is considerably better than the ERS. My ERS suited me well for a while...

    Hey OP (Oliver) i was in the same exact shoes as you. I went Razor Gen 2 instead. I did much research on both optics. Both will perform same with the exception of weight and color. Vortex edged out in my pick because of the warranty. I know I can go 15 years and they will cover the scope 100%!
