    Thanks for the response. I have a metal trigger guard but I also have an Allen screw limiter. I know the rifle is a new production as it was just released in the 6.5 creedmor caliber. So I'm not sure. I guess it could be that they've started to make the trigger guards metal again?

    What's your favorite caliber for hunting?

    I love my 300 win mag. Everything ive ever shot has basically dropped dead on the spot. Granted, I've only hunted white tail, But ive shot deer as close 25 yards and as far as 350 with the same results.

    I want to purchase the sako Muzzle brake for my new rifle. Its a trg 22 but in 6.5 creedmoor. I can't seem to find any brake that is caliber specific. Even on the sako website, it only lists one brake for the TRG 42and 22. Which leads me to think that the same Brake being used for the 338 lapua...

    I ended up ordering the vortex, the nightforce was a bit over my budget. And based on what I've read and heard the vortex is just as good! I ordered badger ordinance rings as well. Any recommendations on a different brand?

    The reticles are different however. Both are mil reticles but the vortex is Christmas tree reticle. While the nightforce is just their MIL-R reticle. I don't really have a preference since I've never had any experience with either.

    I found a pretty good deal on a Vortex at 2299, and a nightforce atacr 7-35 at 2999. Hmmm... is the extra mag worth it? Do any of you have experience with the new higher mag NF :confused:

    Thanks for the responses, I am starting to lean towards the vortex. Initially I was thinking the price difference in the nightforce atacr F1 may be worth it but i have yet to hear anything negative about the vortex.
