Re: Schmidt & Bender vs. NightForce... Let me have it
Oh, I also had to buy reloading gear... Eating the additional 1,000 or so dollars that would have put the S&B in reach. I will take the advice hear and not look through one until I have the spare coin to think about it.
Re: Schmidt & Bender vs. NightForce... Let me have it
I would like to thank everyone for their input. I ended up going with a NightForce 5.5-22X56 with ZeroStop. I had a conversation with Barrett and they are updating the BORS to with with the zero stop system. I recently bought an MRAD and...
Re: Aimpoint CompM3 or Eotech EXPS-3?
This one is really tough. I own both. And love both for different reasons...
Eotech: (I own a EXPS3-4)
Pros:
I feel it is more rugged
Quick acquisition (For me over Aimpoint)
BDC
cons:
Shorter battery life
need angled charging handle to run on a scar...
Schmidt & Bender vs. NightForce
Is Schmidt & Bender really worth the extra $$$?
I do really get a piece of glass that is that much better?
I was looking at a Schmidt & Bender 5-25x56 PM II/LP/MTC/LT With P4 Fine Reticle and was shocked at the $3700 price tag. Thoughts
I am looking at the Accu-Shot monopod for my MRAD... But I dont know which height ranges to get... 3.6"-4.85", 3.75"-4.65,
4.75"-5.65", or 5.65"-6.5".
If anyone has another recommendation for a picatinny rail mounted monopods.
I just got off the phone with Barrett CS, they said the caliber conversions for the MRAD will release Q1 of 2013. A BORS system for the Zero-Stop NightForce will release next year too.
Re: Left handed 308
Just as a thought... I am a righty by trade but shoot rifle left handed. There is an advantage to a gun for a righty and shooting it left handed... You never have to take your hand away from the trigger.
Again just a thought...
Re: Questions about dry fire practice
Thanks,
I guess I was over thinking it. I practice with a spent case or quarter for pistol. I just thought it would be more involed
I have made the jump from intermidate range 650 yards with a pbr rifle in 308 from FNH (nothing special) to a barrett MRAD and start working into LR. (It's just back story. I think it is a great rifle. and I wasn't ready to spead 7-8k pretax on an ai, surgeon or sako)
Here is my question, I...
Re: Zeroing for a new .338lm
Thank you for your comments. HotRod is 300 what you feed your MRAD? I should clarify I went with the 24.5" version. I pick it up in 19 hours. I am very excited.
So I finally made the jump to big bore rifle. I decided on an mrad from Barrett. Here's my question: First what is a good zero distance? (I was thinking 300 yards) I am assuming it would be a good idea to use factory loads before I rezero to my custom loads. Also does anyone have a good recipe...
