    AR accuracy and barrel length

Re: AR accuracy and barrel length Barrel length has little to do with accuracy, that is absolutely correct, esp. considering the available loads. The AR platform is evolving into an extremely accurate gas gun, able to compete with bolts (we build for F-Class). Look at the various 6mm...

    Piston or Stoner?

Re: Piston or Stoner? Some piston systems have worked to improve inherent loss of accuracy, and succeeded. That said, a piston gas gun will not be as accurate as direct impingement.

    Suppressors H&K P30L - Thoughts?

Re: H&K P30L - Thoughts? The LEM trigger is somewhat of an improvement over the standard issue. I've had a few P-series in the shop, and the standard trigger has one of the longer take-up's I've seen on modern production pistol. As with any trigger, it has more to do with how well the...

    Gunsmithing Building an accurate AR...

Re: Building an accurate AR... Square it on a lathe for best results. The anodized buildup (plating thickness) varies over the surface, and is often uneven. Take care to not remove too much.

    Gunsmithing removing pillars

Re: removing pillars They're going to be in there, regardless of composite used, but especially with Bisonite. You can always resort to drilling, so try freezing overnight and then tapping out first. They'll drill out easier if they are aluminum.
