I just recently ordered a Shilen drop in barrel for my AR15 and noticed something that kinda has me worried. I am very new to the aftermarket barrel world but upon inspection of the bore I noticed where the hole was drilled for the gas block there were metal burrs inside the bore near the gas port hole. I ran a dry patch to see if i could remove some of the shavings but they would not budge and there was a very noticible snag on the patch. Anyone else ever had this problem, is this something that will be smoothed out after a few rounds? I got the barrel on friday and have not had a chance to call Shilen(closed for the weekend). Thanks for the help, and if this is a dumb question flame on.

I had the same problem with a Bravo co. barrel. When I first got it I noticed the same thing but then went to the range and shot it and it looks like it cleaned itself out. Shoots very well to this day. I was kinda nervous to do that but no problems.
