Interesting Rare Find- What Do You Think?

Re: Interesting Rare Find- What Do You Think? What kills me is the price on the end of the box- "109.50" I paid a HELL of a lot more than that for it! Looks like someone bought it, probably went elk hunting in Montana or something like that (or maybe not even that), then put it away. It's...

Interesting Rare Find- What Do You Think?

I bought this rifle a couple of days ago. It'll be a safe queen. Near mint condition pre-64 Winchester Model 70 in 300 H&H Magnum. Serial number shows the rifle to have been built in 1950. Having the box, hang tag, and owner's manual is a serious plus. Overall, a rare find.

    Sidearms & Scatterguns 1911's Love/Hate

Re: 1911's Love/Hate I've got an Ed Brown and it's hands down the finest shooting pistol I've ever owned or operated. That said, it can be temperamental with regard to magazines- slightest bit of dirt in a mag will cause feed problems. I'd like another 1911- thinking about one of the Colt...

    Photos Bolt-action Kalashnikov...a must have!

Re: Bolt-action Kalashnikov...a must have! It probably came out of Pakistan. Darra, in the NWFP, is famous for its gunsmiths. The guys can make anything. That's definitely an Afghan National Police pickup truck its leaning against.

Re: If buying 1911 as a possible family.... I'd look for a new Colt Series 70 Government Model. Colt dropped the firing pin safety gizmo on the re-issues (introduced on the Series 80's): http://www.coltsmfg.com/products-c5-q76-COLT_PISTOLS.aspx# Since you are in Pearland, check with...

Suppressors Best 1911 for the money

Re: Best 1911 for the money Springfield. I had a Loaded; loved it. Sold it to a friend and bought an Ed Brown, which is a whole different ball game sort of pistol. I'd buy a Milspec if I were buying another 1911. A Colt Series 70 would be my choice in used.
