    I just did this with a manners stock inletted for the surgeon DBM. I reamed the pillar bore holes in the stock to .625 and used the pillars as supplied from surgeon. Not sure it matters if you use their pillars or not as long as you mill the ones you use to the dimensions called out by surgeon...

    Bought a new Remington 700 and....

    Installing a new stock on my AAC-SD and took the action off the Tupperware this morning to find the recoil lug as it should be and symmetrical wear marks at both pillars and rear of the lug. Seems somehow, and I know this sounds crazy, Remington got it right. No regrets here.

    Range Incident

    I'm curious why the hubby/ friend did not fire that rifle. Were any of the spent casings saved for inspection ant to check for head separations or even if they were handloads. That mighta been helpful.
