    Rifle Scopes SWFA scopes

they get a thumbs up in my book. I really like their reticles. they are just the right thickness for my taste. they have great glass and the classic series are arguably the best option in that price range. The fixed powers are some of their best in my opinion, and I always have a couple...

    Rocky Mountain Region Matches

Yes I will be at the March 11 match. Come say hello! It's usually easy to find us since we shoot with a 9yr old girl. My girlfriend also shoots and is with me most matches. She is having her rifle built right now also and will hopefully start shooting the match in the next couple months. It's...

Monthly Sporting Rifle match RATON NM

Had to skip the match this month but with wind in the upper 20s all day...I think I will do some reloading instead. Good luck to those braving the wind today!

    How often to anneal

I anneal every other firing. Using Lapua brass (6.5x47) and I haven't seen a need for doing it with every firing as the brass stays very consistent after the first firing. As the brass ages I may move to every firing. I wouldn't wait more than 3 firings if I had to.

PRS Talk PRS matches that require a pistol

I am specifically looking for info on the NM Precision Rifleman's Championship, but also interested in info on others. Anyone know if I'm going to need a pistol? And how they are utilized in the course of fire?

Hunting & Fishing 6.5 Creedmoor for hunting

Took two big mulies last year with my 6.5CM. I use a Savage FCP-SR with a 20" barrel (running a SilencerCo Omega suppressor on it). Ammo is Hornady 129 SST. One mulie was taken at 285yrds and the other at 235yrds. Both dropped in their tracks and penetration was perfect. I plan on using this...

Training Courses Recommendations for trainging in So CO

I am going to be signing up my girlfriend and myself into one of Brian's classes this summer. I shoot with him at a few of the matches around SoCo and he is a very nice guy and always one of the best shooters. Cant wait to get some instruction from him!

The Dragonman. Eat your hearts out boys

This is about the most ignorant fucked up bunch of bullshit I've ever heard. He did NOT "Get" her killed. She was killed in a pyrotechnic accident that a TV show setup. I'm no fan of the guy (and I have actually met him many times), but to suggest he is somehow responsible is completely ridiculous.

I need a new range finder

The Sig Kilo lives up to the hype! I have used it and was shocked at its ranging ability. like these other guys have said, there is probably no better deal on a quality rangefinder right now.

    Hunting & Fishing Calling Coyotes

When calling coyotes with distress calls, how long do you call and how long do you wait between calls? I have been able to get plenty of responses but not much luck getting them to come all the way into shooting range. I generally call for about 20 seconds then go quiet for 5 minutes or so...

    Load development delema.

I doubt the problem lies in the bullet as the Berger 140s seem to be the go-to for precision 6.5 these days. If you are worried it is the bullet though, I would go with a lighter option not heavier. A lighter bullet is generally easier to stabilize and may prove a better option. What powder...

    Magnetospeed: v3 kit vs sporter

The V3 will allow you to use on suppressed rifles or any that have a muzzle greater than 1 inch. The sporter is limited to 1 inch muzzle and will not work on suppressed rifles. I have confirmed this haha. Its about the power of the unit not the accessories.

    Colorado Shooter

New guy here at SH and I'm loving the community already. I'm an amateur PRS shooter on the Front Range. If you make any of the matches around that area I'm sure we will run into each other and even squad up for a day. I'm always looking to learn from experienced shooters since I have only been...

Buying / Trading as a new guy

On the Scout site I had an annual membership and was able to post in the buy/sell/trade section even without many posts. Does anyone know if I will be able to post in buy/sell/trade again once they get the memberships figured out on this site? Or am i required to get to the 100 post mark regardless?
