Rifle Scopes SWFA scopes

I had a Tasco "Super Sniper" years ago. IIRC, it was a fixed 16x and good glass. Also.....about $400.00. At the time (1996), it was a hell of a deal. I heard that SWFA took them over. If nothing has changed (or improvements have been made), you should be GTG.

I was considering a 3-15 SWFA. Seems all the reviews are pretty good for it.

I have a 3-15 SS along with a couple of the fixed versions (6X and 10X). You cant beat the value. They track very well; have huge elevation range and are very rugged. They also have a lifetime warranty should you ever need it.

The 3-15 is on my Anschutz 64 MPR. I like it a lot. Only issue for me is that the eye box is a bit touchy but the image is clear.

Ive got a fixed 10 and fixed 12 SS SWFA. Both are the cheap ones not the HD. I like them alot. Only thing is they dont have a turret stop at zero so youll have to be careful not to over dial when your headed back to zero. Id imagine you could make your own zero stop with a washer of sorts....

I have the fixed 12X and have no complaints. Repeatedly tracks well, pretty good glass, and I like the Mil quad reticle. Great scope for the price.

Anyone use these besides myself..Nice and clear I think for the money with
a life time warrenty

I have a 10x and a 10x HD and have had a 6x, a 3-9 and a 16x. They are hands down, the best value out there in a tactical scope. They are superb where it really counts. That is tracking, zero retention and return to zero. The glass is not S&B but is very usable. Though they don't come with zero stop, they are easily fitted with it. The only one I didn't care for was the 16x. On it, the eye box was extremely critical and as the sun set, glare was pretty bad. I haven't used the 3-15 but reviews are very good on it. I recently put a 10x non-hd on a cousin's .308 and was extremely impressed with the glass on it. Seems like the glass is getting better over the years and the glass on this one was not far at all behind my 10x HD.

Yep, I've owned a few of them over time. SWFA was my first tactical scope (fixed 10x). I had the 3-15x for a while and the 1-6x. No complaints on either, they are a good value at that price range. Had to use the warranty once and they were top notch to deal with.

I've got a 1-4, 3-15, and 5-20 HD. All of them are great scopes. In my opinion they are the top dog of budget scopes. If you want better, you've got to spend a lot more.

I have the 3-15 SWFA and have loved shooting it. Its really hard to beat that scope for the money. my buddy unfortunately got the Gen 2 razor and after looking through it and shooting through it, I gotta have one. PM me if anyone wants to purchase one cheap, i got one for sale.

I started out with the fixed 10x about 10 years ago and surprised quite a few folks shooting F-class with it. I have since moved up to an XTR-II, but would not feel at much of a disadvantage if I stayed with the SS. If I was ever in the market for another SS, it would be the 12x mil-quad. I absolutely love that reticle.

Love my 3-15, I'm a hunter just getting into long range shooting. I'm amazed it's repeatability. I've been cranking to 600 ish and smacking rocks as well as coyotes. I haven't verified on paper in awhile but it keeps killing close dogs when at zero special I'm guessing it's good to go. It's my first long range glass so I can only compare to fondling mk4s and nxs's I payed 350 used so feel I got deal.
I do have the zero stop installed zero is 1mill and 2 clicks below my zero.

I'll throw up a few pics since you old farts are lacking in that dept

this is the my load on streylock app

I bought a 3-9 in 2010 and was pleased with it, good match for 308. I had a problem with the reticle, contacted SWFA and they said send it in for repairs. They didn't repair it they replaced it with a brand new one, and they paid shipping both ways. Bushnell on the other hand, is not going to treat you the same, another story we don't have time for now. For the money, I would go with SWFA every time.

I have a 10x HD and it's a very nice scope for the money. It tracks very well and the glass is nice. My only complaint is the adjustment clicks aren't all that noticeable.

they get a thumbs up in my book. I really like their reticles. they are just the right thickness for my taste. they have great glass and the classic series are arguably the best option in that price range.

The fixed powers are some of their best in my opinion, and I always have a couple floating around my safe! they have a ton of adjustment in a simpler design and let in a ton of light.

I purchased an Athlon Argos to see how it stacked up at about the same price point. I would hands down take another fixed power SWFA over the FFP Athlon (not trying to trash Athlon).

Which would you want back the 6x or the 3-9?

Between those two, I would take the 6x because it has parallax adjustment. I prefer the 10x over either due to the topography of the areas I hunt. I like the 10x HD very much too. It is better than the 10x classic, but not $500 better. The 3-9 is outstanding but I like being able to dial out that last bit of parallax so sold it. They ALL have tracked well, retained zero and returned to zero superbly. If a scope won't do that, it is worthless no matter how good the glass or how extensive the feature set.

I have a 3-15 (on my M1-A) and 5-20x50 HD. The glass on the 5-20 has pretty good glass for the money, the reticle is a little thick for precision shooting. The 3-15 broke a year ago, and SWFA replaced it, no problem.
