    The rail is actually two pieces. The forward section is part of the hand guard. The rear is bonded to the action.

    It worked well and it is the first Leupold scope in a long time that really interested me. I would not mind having one on a personal rifle.

    I am working on it. AI has been great to work with. It can be difficult to get manufacturers to turn loose of several thousand dollars worth of rifle to a relatively unknown person.

    The barrel is 20". I believe there is only one rail option on the AX 308. I did not measure it while it was here.
