    SRS v AIAW

Re: SRS v AIAW Bill, Good luck on getting a DTA here in Australia. I believe that there are some that have been "on the way" for almost 12 months now, but there appears to be an issue with getting all the export papers in order from the US side of the pond. For local use an AI is a better...

    Gunsmithing FAL Headspace question

Re: FAL Headspace question Umm - Alter Ego - no special tools are needed to remove the gas piston spring. You just remove the gas plug & remove the piston, then seperate the spring from the piston which is just a friction fit at best anyways. You dont need a buttstock tool as you should be...

    Gunsmithing FAL Headspace question

Re: FAL Headspace question Built a couple of L1A1's in my time - but fired many thousands of rounds through them, while we still had them here in Australia that is. My experience is limited to Australian pattern L1A1's - which for all intents & purposes are identical to the British L1A1's...

    Rifle Scopes S & B P4F Reticule Subtensions

Re: S & B P4F Reticule Subtensions Well tactical shooting doesn't really exist in Australia like it does in the US - not yet anyhow. I mainly compete in F/TR Class matches until we can get some more dynamic matches up & running, & it will be used for some hunting as well mounted on my AI.

    Rifle Scopes S & B P4F Reticule Subtensions

Re: S & B P4F Reticule Subtensions Thanks Jay - I can see your point. You are correct on the dimensions - the P3 line thickness is the same as the P4. Thats great input - thanks mate.

    Rifle Scopes S & B P4F Reticule Subtensions

Re: S & B P4F Reticule Subtensions And so another problem - P4 or P4 Fine ? Decisions decisions - it gives me a headache ! I need to cater for mid 40's eyesight, & the desire for reticle to be clear & bold. Do any of the P4 users find it too thick ? Are any of the P4 Fine users finding...

    Rifle Scopes S & B P4F Reticule Subtensions

Would anyone be able to supply some sort of a diagram that shows the reticule subtensions for a Schmidt & Bender P4 Fine please ? I have been able to find a few pics of the reticule on the net & S & B's website, but nothing that will give me a measurement of the subtensions or the thickness of...

Re: Nightforce NXS Delivery times - 5.5 - 22 x 56 MLR Well they keep saying that they are Australian owned, but all I can figure out is that their operation in Australia leaves a bit to be desired.

    Accuracy International bipod.....worth the coin?

Re: Accuracy International bipod.....worth the coin? Interesting Basra - do you think that the PH stamping may reflect the production dates of before & after the PH bustup in 1996 or so ?

    Accuracy International bipod.....worth the coin?

Re: Accuracy International bipod.....worth the coin? Ah - the AI bipod debate. It gets a bit confusing at times. I have an AI bipod, a Harris swivel with a pod loc, & the Atlas. The AI ( or Parker Hale really ) is a slightly modernised version of a Bren LMG bipod, I dont know how many Bren...

AI AE MkII - Who has one?

Re: AI AE MkII - Who has one? Yep - had it for a few weeks now. Everything as it should be from AI - the trigger has improved as well, not that it was bad on the Mk1 by any means. No regrets at all. Buy it, shoot it.
