Why not shoot cheap ammo for practice?

If I had that rifle I'd have to shoot some good ammo through it just to see how accurate it was. After I found it's favorite I'd shoot something cheaper for plinking. I don't own a rifle that shoots SV really well, all my 52 Winchesters prefer SK Standard Plus over the SV. Normally I practice...

    New Savage TRR-SR

I have a BTVLSS that shoots great but it took a few hundred rounds to settle in. The heavier bottom metal will make for a more solid foundation, I made mine out of 1/8" SS. Also try different torque settings on the action screws. A Rifle Basix trigger will make a huge difference over the factory...

Lack of left hand 22LR options

I have a BTVLSS with a Rifle Basix trigger and it shoots very well. Not as well as My 52 target rifles but better than my Miroku 52 at well under half the price.

    Winchester 52D range report

LOL! The E (most of them) have a recessed crown and the Marksman stock doesn't have the barrel tuning mechanism in the end of the forarm that the D has. Also the E receivers are drilled and tapped for scope basses and don't have the flat milled on the rear. I'm not sure if all E' s have a...

    Winchester 52D range report

BTW, The E has a much improved feed ramp over the D. There is a gentleman in MO that makes and sells them. For less than $50 it's a nice improvement for a D rifle. He can be found on the Winchester 52 forums on Rimfire Central or PM me and I'll get you his e-mail address if anyone is interested.

    Winchester 52D range report

I have a couple 52 D's, a E and a Miroku repop, all the repop's I've seen have a little bedding at the front of the action from the factory. The repop's take some work to make shoot well but once figured out they will shoot very well. I don't have the right combination for my Browning figured...

Here's mine, not as impressive as the two above. Savage BTVLSS CCI SV and a Mueller 4.5-14 X 40 at 50 yards.

Wow two impressive groups! Here's mine, not real impressive but it's my best so far. This was shot off bags with a Savage MKII BTVLSS with a Mueller 4.5-14 X 40 APV and CCI SV. It shoots the $25 a box Eley stuff but it's hard to swallow for at the price.

    Need a good Rimfire Scope

I have a Mueller 4.5-14 X 40 APT on my BTVLSS, great scope for the money and will focus down to less than 10 yards. I bought a used KonusPro K30 6.5-25 X44 but haven't got to try it yet, waiting on mounts.
