    Thanks guys all been so helpful!! With all that being said it seems like the 300wm is the right choice for me. I would love to own a 338lm but being an Australian citizen reloading costs way too much. Thankyou for all your help :)

    The dealer has no problem getting them in. I've shot one in .338 LM and they feel pretty sturdy. I'm not 100% on them though

    this is going to be my only precision rifle :) i own a couple of other guns (.222, .22, 30-30) mainly for hunting. I'm very familiar with guns just not precision.

    Thanks for all the comments guys :) those all look like real nice guns but being an Australian resident I'm not too sure of the availability of some of the suggestions. Has anybody had any experience with the Armalite AR-30?? They don't look too bad for the money and are pretty readily available.

    im looking to spend under 5 thousand if possible. my local range goes out to 900m and majority of my shooting will be there. I have been suggested a Savage BA110 or Remington 700. i just would love to know what some of my choices out there are.
