    .308 Rem 5r help

Long free bore is typical for Remington bolt rifles. All of mine are chambered longer than the magazine will allow for length to reach the lands. All shoot well. There are about 7000 threads on this subject on Snipers Hide alone not to mention other shooting forums. Load to magazine length if...

Sidearms & Scatterguns Tic Tic Tic XDS

Have you heard of guide rods causing failures in Glocks? I'm not an authority though I own a 23 and a 30 with never so much as one problem. I also own a couple of Springfield XD sub compacts. One in .40 and the other in 9mm which I gave to my daughter. A word to the wise, I found my summer...

It's a thankless job for the most part. I haven't experienced a horses ass RO there in a long time but then, I haven't been able to get out there but twice in the last year so...

Do I have to quit reloading for the same reason I started?

I've never used 4007 so I can't comment on it for the 30-06 or anything else. From the Hodgdon release on the new SSC variant, it sounds great for lighter bullets and powder dispensers that typically throw inconsistently with extruded powders. I meant no insult about the Lee loader. I have...

Do I have to quit reloading for the same reason I started?

Please forgive me if I misunderstood your previous posts but am I to understand that you loaded all these rounds using a Lee Loader? I think Mr. Lee's loader was brilliant and I have a couple of them myself. I've never used them but since they were given to me, I keep them for the same...

Once A Marine, Always A Marine

Oh, gotcha. Totally missed the selfless, heroic nature of the videographer. Kind of like the camera man at Iwo Jima, catching the flag raising on Mt. Suribachi? I jest of course. The people standing there video taping the event are largely scumbags. So much so that so statistically...

Hate to hear that Dale. Thought about you today as I was driving over the Skyway Bridge; saw a nice Coast Guard vessel that looked like a large, armed, bad ass cabin cruiser, with titties! Thought you might know what it was. O_W , you still inclined to do head over to manatee tomorrow?

Sidearms & Scatterguns Little Glock Project

Nice work! Still lacking the stones to try this on my 23 or 30... Definitely enjoy using the 22 and 21 mags in them though!

    Sidearms & Scatterguns 1911 won't eject..

Extractor may be broken or needs to be tuned (Bent). Perhaps these loads are too hot and the extractor is zipping right over the rim but I don't see any marks that would indicate a good grab by the extractor.

Picking a Stock Style for the Remington 700

Chassis are designed to be mechanically torqued to the rifle's action and require no bedding. From what little experience I have with them, I don't know how one would bed a chassis! Often, just upgrading the stock, without bedding, can yield an improvement in consistency and groups just by...

Once A Marine, Always A Marine

Understood and of course there is the very real dearth of people capable of actually helping. That said, the scumbags who video these mob attacks are most often enjoying the show and looking forward to a YouTube breakthrough.

Picking a Stock Style for the Remington 700

I have a few different B&C stocks as well as a McMillan A5 and a HS Precision. I think the B&C stocks are a great value though I do not care for the squared flange of the vertical grip tactical model. I reshaped mine and painted it to be rid of that feature. Most of mine are skim bedded and have...

Once A Marine, Always A Marine

I'm getting really tired of the "stand and video" scumbags. Thank the Lord there are still people with balls out there among the savages and those who excuse or exploit them.

I've been almost as scarce there as you TDR! Saturday is a work day for me but Sunday is a distinct possibility! Supposed to be a dry day with a northerly wind! Haven't seen that since May! I have rounds loaded and shootin irons eager to spew!

Do I have to quit reloading for the same reason I started?

I'll lay odds that if you were to pull a random sample of those old match rounds, you'd find the weights of each powder charge would vary a half a grain! The were loaded volumetrically rather than to the 10th of a grain as we often try to obtain. Is it the M72 brass is what is being reloaded...

Primer pocket crimp removal tool input

I have the Dillon super swager as well as the primer reamers made by RCBS for the prep station. The latter work well but they are slow. If you place the reamer on a section of rod and chuck it into a cordless drill, you can ream those crimps off pretty quick. On another note, Why do people...
