Re: 260 brass question
I have had good luck with the Nosler 260 brass. I tried some Nosler Custom factory ammo that performed extremely well. Reloaded the once fired brass and have now purchased additional brass. It has been consistant across the board.
Re: .308 Hunting bullet
I have had excellent results with the Nosler Accubond bullets accross numerous calibers. I have used the 150 and 165 in my GAP 308. Depending on your rifle and twist either will be more than adequate for deer. I also use the 180 grain in my 300 wsm and it is...
Re: what do you think about nightforce scopes
I have 2 NXS scopes as well as S&B, US Optics and others. There are many great scopes of varying levels of quality and price above and below the NXS line. I feel the NXS scopes are the best value out there.
Re: S&B 10x42 PM II or Leupold MK4 10x40 LR/T M3 M
I have both and like both. However, if I were to pick one to keep it would be the S&B without question. Their quality and durability is outstanding.
Re: load for 75 gr. .223
I have 2 1:8 twist Rock Rivers. One is a Predator the other a Varmint...both with 20" barrels. I have experimented with various loads from 52 gr up and the 68-77 gr bullets have performed extremely well from the start...and even better when I slowed them down. I...
Re: 17 mach2 or 17 HMR
I really like my 17 HMR...it is a tack driver...but it is all relative as to what to buy. I have multilple 22lr's which are less expensive to shoot but don't have the accuracy of my 17 HMR. I would choose the 17 HMR over the mach 2 based on ammo availability alone. I...
Re: 2.5-10x24 FC2 Versus NP-1 for feral Pig shooting
Excellent choice...I have the FC-2 in a 2.5-10x24 on an 18" AR-10 for my hog gun and it is perfect. Great for running shots and quick target acquisition. It should serve you well.
Re: Progressive Reloading Press Recommendations
Thanks for all the input and links. This has been very helpful. Any thoughts on the Dillon dies vs. others? I mostly have RCBS and Redding.
I am looking to upgrade to a progressive press. Any recommendations on which brand and/or model I should consider and why? I currently have a RCBS Rock Chucker and have used one of the Dillon progressive models (not sure of the model...might have been a 550B) any suggestions, likes or dislikes...
I can't seem to find much info about QSM suppressors...other than the John Titsworth (silencerresearch.com) reviews...which speak highly of them in general. I had not considered them until recently but have had a few people recommend them. I am in the process of deciding on .223/5.56 and .308...
Re: Powder Suggestions for .300 WSM
Thanks for the information. Gives me a great place to start. If anyone has loads worked up they would like to share please post.
Just started hunting this year with a .300 WSM. I haven't reloaded any yet as it liked the Black Hills 180 gr Accubond and I didn't have brass. I plan to start reloading in the near future. Anyone have experience with reloading the 300 WSM? I am curious to powders for the short mag case? I...
