    Leofoto tripod for NRL

I have no affiliation with the following company and product but did pick one up. They have a version for the 75mm tripod for Leofoto and an arca version. I watched their video on YouTube and it makes sense. The curved top allows a bag to sit better on it...

Awesome suppressor muzzle brake front end attachment by Recoilx

I didn’t find it hard at all to install on the Omega. Screwed it all the way in and backed off until it was level and tightened the jam nut which I didn’t have issues. Per their instructions the jam nut is supposed to tension the brake and not brake against the can for those that don’t have one yet.

What action was that inletted for? Asking because of the ejection port size. I wish mine was a little wider to accommodate my other actions aesthetically.

I did something similar but with a pencil. Gave me something to reference for levelness. I still would like to see a line milled across the front.

Or go 7mm 🪚. What I’m hoping to get going before the next NRL match.

I’m testing mine on a 13# 6.5CM. That should be interesting.

    Dasher and 105/107 and n150?

I don’t know if it’s going to make a difference but for giggles you should try a different lot of N150. That’s if you want to satisfy that curiosity.

Let’s see how this comment ages. 2025-2026 will be the year of brakes on suppressors. It’s not a new idea but I have a feeling other companies will start to explore them more in depth. Kinda like “flow through” cans and 2024.

Got the brake in. It’s 2.6 oz on my scale and was easy to time and to tighten. One thing I would like to see is a level line machined on the face of the brake. Makes it easier for us with OCD to time the brake. Or maybe a flat for a level to be placed on.

    Bipod recommendations

I just wish Tricer would have a way to lock out the pan feature based on what I’ve read. Sure you can use the lever to tension/lock it out but now you’re also locking up the tilt. I like to be able to make micro adjustments on tilt without the bipod panning under recoil. Yes yes recoil...

Thanks for the replies. Usually no news is good news or people just didn’t want to comment on their brakes because they were loosening. Good to hear that they aren’t.

Range Report Wild dope truing AB and 4dof. What is reasonable?

I’ve had MV and BC change pretty drastically but that’s what truing is. You’re just telling the calculator what your bullet is actually doing. At that point I don’t care what the numbers are as long as I’m impacting steel or whatever said and done consistently. It’s how Gravity Ballistics works...

Are you guys hand tightening the jam nut? Any issues with the brake loosening up over a period of a match?

    Dasher and 105/107 and n150?

What is your reloading process and what die are you using? I flame anneal after each firing. I’m using a SAC resizing die with a .266 bushing and .2415 expander mandrel. The inside edge gets chamfered. Brass doesn’t even grow so I don’t trim the length. CCI 450’s as well. AutoTrickler V4.
