Awesome suppressor muzzle brake front end attachment by Recoilx

I've got a Maverick on my PRS gun and everything short action, and run it braked in competition, and full suppressed when shooting out in the desert on my own. I'd get one for my big .30 I'm building, but Area 419 specifically says it's not rated for magnums, so now I'm strongly considering picking up a SilencerCo with one of these brakes.

Question is, if you were doing it from scratch, would you go with a $700 Omega 300 DT, or a Hybrid 36 for the extra $400 and the option to run it in K config with the brake?

I have both a Hybrid 46M and an Omega, I went with the 46M so I can use it on my 45-70 suppressed. Between the two, and if I were only going to have one, I would choose the 46M. Nothing wrong with the Omega at all and honestly have way more rounds through it, but the hybrid models simply allow for a lot more flexibility. Both work well.

I’ll start shipping brakes tomorrow in the order that they were purchased. It wont be too long until you get it! 😎

Thanks for the update. Still waiting on my Nomad but will be nice to get this in to use for my measurement purposes to order my cover. Maybe you can help. How long is the part that isn’t the actual brake baffles? The knurled part.

The knurled portion would add an extra 1/2-5/8 inch for the cover.(depending on how you want it to fit) for complete cover, it would be 5/8 or just over that. But to have it land on and mostly cover would be the 1/2 mark.

Thanks. Wasn’t wanting to cover the whole thing but was just wondering if it was a 1/4-1/2” over in length if it would be fine and it would. Thanks.

Sent a pm to the owner and decided to order one this morning. Got a shipping notification and should have it on Monday. Plan on running this on the new scythe-stm. Once atf approves it sigh

I always get nervous about any of my cans loosening after long strings of fire, so I usually check by twisting on the covers. Once I started snapping them on firmly none have loosened (I use the CB brakes on everything). So I occasionally check my RecoilX brake. So far it has never loosened. And so far it hasn’t carbon locked, unlike my U7 that one time. That took me and my dad and a strap wrench to remove.

I like mine, currently have it on a Velos 762 and the locking collar doesn’t interfere with the flow ports on the front. Have a 46M on order that will be used for 300 and 338 norma, and while it was recommended to not use on 338, I’m gonna buy one to open up the bore diameter and do it anyway. Unless he comes out with a 338 charlie mount before i get my stamp…

Glad to hear it was an easy install. Mine should be here tomorrow with my Rifles Only HAD cover and I certified my can today so hopefully it gets approved before any government shutdown. lol If not the parts will be here waiting for it.

Anyone shot under Nods with one of these? I assume it'll increase flash a bit but much much less than a straight brake on barrel

Uh... Yea....... Totally can dependant. If you are trying to stay fully concealed from the elk and deer shooting back at you better stick to a straight can nightstalker

Or pigs and coyotes, you know the animals you hunt at night and shoot multiple shots at so muzzle flash would be a concern on follow up shots?

Lil range trip. These things work as advertised. I'll get some trigger cam footage in next few days on a 20# 6gt shooting with the brake, and with bare end cap.
I put the brake end on the Diligent STI, and compared it to the Nomad LTI XC with Ebrake, and no question the RecoilX/STI combo had noticeably less recoil and muzzle jump. That was was on a 20# 25x47 with 135s at 2750.

Other can with the brake is a Scythe-Ti.

That'll tell a lot!

I received mine today, and made it to the range with them. They’re the real deal, one rifle was 14.5 and the other 15.5. 14.5 has a sico scythe ti and the other a diligent sti. The brake works, it’s noticeably different than just silencer. It’s a good product for match shooting, for sure.

Already have a Kelbly Prometheus sitting on my work bench. This weekend will be my last shooting the PRC ha.
My buddy shot a 65prc in prs 3 years back, was around 20# and a suppressor. When he'd miss, I'd ask did you see it? Nope! So I'd say well miss different this time, you might hit it! Lol 153.5s at 2950 is god of the wind, but she moves a LOT!

So a 3/8 Allen key fits perfectly in the recoilX ports. I used it to tighten the brake cap up a bit. It's also convenient to use the Allen key as a level of sorts, lay it in the bottom of the ports and look down the muzzle to rifle, easy to tell if your ports are level this way.
