Any cutting sauce used? Did you run a mandrel through the neck prior to this? Cheers

    Maggie’s Song of the day.

This song and album changed my life as a 16 year old kid: Moon was at his best on this album

Age of handloads or handloads of age?

If I have a match that requires me to load 3-400 rounds for a 3-5 day match (f-class), I seat all my bullets long and go back the night before the match to seat the bullets I need for the next day. There are rounds that I loaded last fall (seated long), that will shoot to the same poi as freshly...

    Lapua 284 and AMP

Mine is 169, but necks are turned to .013. A buddy I shoot with uses 173 for unturned brass with his lot of Lapua. Cheers

What did you do in the reloading room today?

@Snuby642 was kind enough to send me some 6.5 Grendel brass (impossible to find right now), so I figured it might as well get annealed since he had done such a nice job of prepping it for me!

    Harrels 6BR die issue

I was ordering a custom die for a .284 through Whidden about 7 years ago. John and I discussed dies for a while, and found out he used non-bushing dies for his competition rifles. It changed my way of ordering new dies for most situations. Cheers

    Harrels 6BR die issue

What is your concern with the way it sizes now? Is there concentricity issues? Have you reversed the bushing in the die to see if it changes anything? What brand of bushing do you use? Don't necessarily need to answer questions, just something to think about. In order to get sized all the way to...

    6mm BR

You are fortunate to live in SD. I used to shoot a lot around Kennebec and NW of Mobridge. Back in the 80's I could shoot out a 22-250 barrel in a week...:giggle::cool: Couple guys that played for the North Stars and I would go through 500 rounds each in a day, and that was back in the day with...

    6mm BR

I have two rifles set up in 22BR for p-dog shooting; old school Ruger #1 that is on it's 5th barrel and a Falkor/KRG Bravo setup that I built this winter. Will be out in Montana hammering them in 3 weeks. Most fun you can have with your clothes on...especially at my age.

    6mm BR

Good on ya for being out there. Do you have the ability to scope the barrel and see if you have a carbon ring going? If you have some Kroil, plug the muzzle and fill that baby up and let it sit for about a week, or if you can identify the ring, go after it with kroil and a bronze brush. Brush...

    Spotting Nation State/Agitator Accounts

I have several family members that are on the "left side" of the isle that I will spend hours engaged in conversation with on subjects we seldom agree on. It is good to not be 24/7 in an "echo chamber", and at least hear what others think. I don't need it while on this site however. Especially...

    Spotting Nation State/Agitator Accounts

When I find a website that spouts leftist BS, I don't waste my time trying to change someone's mind or engage in douche nozzle chatter with them. Why would you want to spend time on this site with a bunch of neanderthals like us? If you were contributing to a conversation with facts instead of...

    6mm BR

I'd be checking for a carbon ring as well. The only time I have ever had a pressure problem with a 6BR variant when using "normal" load amounts of Varget was when a carbon ring got started that I didn't catch right away. A straight 6BR should be able to be run around 30 grains of Varget @...

To mix Lapua brass lots or not

I am a BR shooter, and what Fig said is spot on. Unless you are good enough to shoot group scores in the 1.5 inch range at 600 yards, you will not tell the difference with Lapua brass. I did a test with 6BR brass from separate lots a few years back that were a couple years apart in production...

What did you do in the reloading room today?

I have found lower SD's with 450's than the 400's. If you are shooting a larger capacity (over 35 grains of powder) SRP case, the 450's are definitely a better option. I use 450 primers for my 6 CM and 308 with Lapua SRP cases. My smaller 6BR variant cases all get BR4's. Cheers

Any of you using steel Sinclair expander mandrels?

Been using 21st Century SS for 3 years. I have done in excess of 8K pieces of brass (6BRA, 284, 22BR) without any problems in that time period. I do not use any lube in the necks or on the mandrel, other than whatever is in there from the One-Shot lube sprayed on for sizing the case. The brass...
