    Well, they don't spin, but will move quite easily. I just assumed the OP was referring to that. As @diggler1833 said, my eyesight doesn't really discern that slight 4 degree offset.

    I agree that flipping open the cap on my Gen 2 Vortex does move the diopter ring since they don't lock. I just mark the proper setting with a paint pen and check to make sure it's in the right spot when opening.

    Yes, E targets are very nice. Along with the average velocity at targets it gives the SD of those numbers. I wonder how much the SD at distance relates/matches the muzzle SD?

    A friend had bought an FN SPR that showed the same problems. Unfortunately for him, FN had sold a bunch of receivers to a company called US Palm which used crappy barrels and was not covered by FN. Some were good, but my friend's went bad. Hopefully it's not one of theirs. Edit: Funny enough...

    I've had four of the Mk4 scopes over the years, and kept two. Three of them have had a trip back to Leupold for issues with elevation turrets going bad (tracking). I'll be the minority report here. The Mk4-16X M1 has not given me any issues (knock on wood) and gets used regularly for F-T/R NRA...

    If you mean GI brass NM stamped (Match) or the M118 LR, it's the same Lake City brass without the primer crimp. Supposedly the LC Match is produced with stricter quality control.

    Yes on GI brass since you are already at the max 7.62 chamber. Like the M14/M1A brass life can be short. Inspect cases for impending separation by using a bent paperclip. You can use the 308 dies and adjust them so you only bump shoulders back about .004" based on some sort of comparator to measure.

    I trimmed/cut my buttplate using the plastic LOP spacers as a template. You might be able to get McMillan to cut the plate to match their buttstock.
