    The caps have multiple positions you can set it too. Like my Aadmount caps, if you work with them a bit, the edges wear in a bit and will allow it to open fully with just a flick of the finger. I do all my caps this way. Works perfectly. DK

    @wolf... that pic of the RPR sittin in that case is makin me want to get my hands on one. Dang it, I don't need another rifle to need to get more scopes for... geeeeez. I saw an RPR with a full pic rail on top of the handguard, and that thing was super slick!! Must resist, must resist... UGH!! DK

    On my AR10 and the medium rings, the scope sat too far back for me to get a good sight picture. The AR10 truly needs the offset mount for the ergonomics to work correctly. Just my experience. DK

    I have a friend of mine that went through exactly the same instances with his Vortex. He ultimately got his money back, and moved on to another scope manufacturer. So it happens out there in the optics world, far more times than you might realize. DK

    That is correct. The Gen2 models have only been out for 1 year, to the best of my knowledge. DK

    If they had the same discontinued model scope to ship out, that would have been a direct replacement. That is specifically up to the company at hand, not a douche cs move at all. Keep in mind that Arken is a small company and doing what they can to make things right. DK

    I wasn't aware that you could even get the 4-14 anymore. Did they replace it with another Gen1? Or did they upgrade you to the Gen2? DK

    I have been after Arken to build an AR type platform scope since their SH4 Gen1 originally came out. From what I hear now, they are finally working on one. It will more than likely be in the 1-6 or 1-8 power range. We will see. DK

    The EP4 is discontinued, and from my understanding, there won't be an EP4 Gen2, but an EP5. It will sport a 56mm objective, 5-25 power range, and will be carrying Japanese ED glass. It will more than likely also post a higher price tag than the original EP4, but I can't confirm that part. DK
