    Any of the rimmed cases are going to be a bit of a problem to get to feed from a magazine. Also you'll need a bolt head that take the cartridge, and the 460 doesn't line up well with existing bolt heads.     Not disgruntled... but I needed some parts, and contracted another DTA dealer, and asked about the parts, the reply was 'we don't have that in stock'... end of email, no offer to check with DTA to get what they didn't have. Email to Greg... several hours after normal shop hours, and he replied...

    Rust?

    I used to have rust problems till I put a dehumidifier in the loading area. I keep the humidity < 40% and that stopped my rust demons.

    I pulled the rails off the front of of the hand guard. Mount the bayonet on the hand guard. Had to turn up the sensitivity but it works well. No POI shift as far as I can tell.

    Its most likely a 500/510 whisper clone. Usually a .338 LM cut down, and a shoulder turned into the case for head-spacing. Other option is a cut down 7mm WSM case, usually they are setup to head-space on the case mouth. I've been considering having one done for the DTA as well, just trying...

    should have been fine at that loading level. Depending on the rifle/case/powder sometimes mag primers give you better accuracy than std. Somtimes not. I generally save the mag primers for the 60+ gr loads of the slow powders... but not always. Stick to the recipes in the load manuals...

    Interested yes, but like Roger said,, I'm very concerned about barrel life. I'll let a few others figure out how short the life is before I consider it. But with 6.5-284's burning barrels up in 1000-1500 rounds, I don't know how the Nosler could be any more nice to a barrel, with its faster...

    yes. Depending on your technique you could be +/- 0.001 just by how you use the caliper. OAL is sometimes highly variable when you are working with OTM style bullets like the SMK. ogive is the right place to measure when you want a constant point to measure from.

    +/- 100 FPS. IMO not worth it. If you want/need substantially more range/reach than a 308 is giving you, its time for a new cartridge, not a new barrel.

    Does a fired case, fresh from the rifle, before you have done any processing, re-chamber? If it will rechamber, its either the decapping or the neck sizing process, as they are the only operations that are going to alter the brass. Depending on what style of headspace gauge you are using it...

    I've got enough stamps, plus my state has some funky MG regs, I've got a 3 ring binder with sheet protectors and copies all my forms 1/4/20, state paperwork, and relevant trust documents indicating who the trustees are. keeps everything together, protected and organized.

    Ok, that is a bit different then. I was hoping you hadn't shot one, found the hole in the case. Shot another.. look another hole, lets try #3, Ooo another hole. That would have been a bit crazy to keep at it if you were finding holes. Might be time to switch to DTM, and say good by to cheytac...

    yes, a few people will buy a few less scopes. Its effect will be so small to the overall market that no one will notice.
