CZ 455 MDT ACC Chassis Coming.....!

I don't know what the production versions will weigh exactly, but if you go to the MDT website and look at the regular ACC weights, you can figure on the 455 version being a few ounces more due to the magazine funnel being left in and less material removed for the smaller action. I have no...

CZ 455 MDT ACC Chassis Coming.....!

Good question, it all depends on how you want to do things. The Voodoo comes out ahead only if you compare it to a full custom CZ455 and plan to swap chassis with your centerfire match rifle. In my case, I bought a EVO heavy barrel 455 for $350 new, sold the funky blue stock for $100 and did...

CZ 455 MDT ACC Chassis Coming.....!

That is a prototype. The production version will have a ‘funnel’ in the magazine well and an extended release included.

MDT AICS 308 Metal Magazine Review

It is not the 3-lugs, it is the 'fat bolt' actions that most 3-lug actions use. The fat bolt requires the magazine to sit lower and can cause issues. Some users have had no problems with them, but enough do that MDT published that caveat. Typically opening the front of the lips 20 thou or so...

Advanced Marksmanship Overtravel......let’s talk about it

I've always ran with lots of overtravel for the same reasons posted multiple times above. Whenever I discuss triggers with a zero-overtravel proponent, I always ask them if they can detect overtravel in live fire, and the answer is always a hesitant 'no'

    Nosler RDF???

I've shot over 4500 of the 175 RDF in three different 308 barrels around 2750 fps, about half of them blems. I found them to be accurate and consistent and been successful with them (two top tactical division PRS finishes among others). The 140 RDF in my new 6.5's have been spotty, and the 130...

CZ 455 MDT ACC Chassis Coming.....!

I was close to buying a Voodoo when I found out the 455 ACC was coming. It’s like cheating at 22 PRS matches.

    Sniper’s Hide Cup 2019 Sniper's Hide Cup - Individual & Team Event

If you do not bring a tripod you will be shooting a third or more of the stages off hand. I use a $99 Slik 700 from amazon with an inexpensive levelling base and arca clamp. It has been perfectly serviceable for a pile of these matches over the last couple years. Contact Carl the MD, he will...

Purpose and Idea behind using 155gr pills with a .308?

I ran the 155 Scenars at 2950 as well until the PRS put a speed limit of 2800 fps in tactical division. I switched to 175 RDF at around 2760 and I believe it’s a toss up, with a slight advantage of less recoil with the 155 and a slight advantage in gusty conditions to the 175.

    Rifle Scopes Bushnell IronClad warranty?

I don’t disagree with anything you’ve said, but I don’t think you can deny that the value to the consumer has declined, at least in relation to products (including their own) that continue to offer the unconditional warranty.

    Rifle Scopes Bushnell IronClad warranty?

That is why I said it was ‘a little more desirable ‘. Having said that, I had a well worn ERS 3.5-21 that had the elevation turrets start to lose some feel to the clicks. They replaced the scope ‘no questions asked’ when i sent it in for repair. Under the new warranty they could theoretically...

    Rifle Scopes Bushnell IronClad warranty?

I also noticed the “iron clad” warranty replaced the lifetime “no questions asked” warranty and no longer covers accidental damage, among other things. It makes Bushnell products made before April 2017 a little more desirable.

Your RPAL covers you to the border and you just put the pistol on the Form6NIA. Nothing else required.

    Gunsmithing M70 How To !

CDI does the receiver and stock inlet for included in the $209 bottom metal price. You cannot go wrong with that and Jeff is great to deal with. The non-binder plate AICS mags I have are all around 2.960-2.970 internally

Rifle Scopes How important is a zero stop?

Ask yourself where you will be, what it cost to be there, and what you will be shooting at when you realize that a zero-stop is useful. We all have different requirements. That will lead to the right answer for you.

    MDT 12rd's

Leave them fully loaded for some time and see if the spring sets a bit. There’s a lot of spring to lift 12-13 rounds, and there will always be more effort required to strip off the top round of a full mag.
