I have a 6mm cm and a 6.5 cm, I have loaded several bullets for each. Have used Hornady 140 ELDM, 140 HBM, Nosler 140cc and Nosler RDF 140 and 105. All bullets have been pretty consistent a side from the RDF bullets. One shooting session I can shoot 1/2 minute or better, next time out I'm over 1 moa, again the other bullets do not seem to have any gremlins in them, any of you experience this issue with the RDF bullets?. Powders that have been used are H4350, RL16 and Superformance, which I use in the 6cm, excellent accuracy. I have played with the bullet seating depth with the RDF bullets, is there a magic number for OAL or are these bullets sub standard?

What I found through 3 different lots of 6.5 140gr RDF (700 rounds) is that they were very inconsistent in oal and base to ogive. While most are within .004-.005 of each other base to ogive, oal was .022 at the extremes. I found myself using the bullet comparator to sort in 5 different lots, then chasing cartridge base to ogive so I could be within .018-.020 off the lands. They shot well afterward but not worth all that effort. Eld (in any flavor) were all within +/- .001 in many lots.

I shoot the 175 RDF's in 308. If consistency is your goal, they ain't it.
However, the blems offer the cheapest high BC bullet available for practice. I get 2 or 3 fliers out of every 20 or so. For $0.23 a bullet, I'll accept a few fliers.

RDF's = random damn fliers.
They are not consistent enough achieve consistently below 1 MOA in my experience. Their sponsored shooters push them hard, they seem to be the only ones to get them to work with any sort of consistency...

Friend and I each bought a box of Nosler RDF 105's to try. His gun shot outstanding 1.5"-2" groups at 100 yards where 105 Bergers will shoot .3 moa groups all day long. Mine will be used to fireform Lapua 6mm BR brass to Dasher. No more Nosler BB's in the future for either of us.
The best groups and the worst groups my 223 ai have shot are with the 70s. I may have them shooting good now but need another range session to confirm. If I remember right I'm at about 0.050 jump and pushing them hard. Up until the last tweaks, they would bughole a group then go >1 moa the next. Next range session will tell but I'm leaning towards just using them for practice and forming brass. Its a shame because they looked good on paper so I bought 1k.
I have not tried them in .308 and I have a .308 and get great accuracy with Nosler 168 CC and Hornady 168 ELDM. The 6 and 6.5 cm, poor results in both using the RDF's

I wouldn't shoot them for a match, but I get the blems for 23 cents a piece and shoot them for practice.
They seem to be hit and miss with a lot of folks. My 6x47 loves the 105’s with a 20 thou jump. They seem to be consistent in regards to OAL at the ogive for me
I would assume that you have tried the firsts’ RDF’s, not the blems? What were your results with the non-Blem 308, same?
I thought it was pretty common the 130 rdf’s were way worse then the 140’s. I never tried the 130’s but I could usually get the 140’s to shot around moa. Lot to lot sucked and I always had to fiddle around to get them to shoot like the last lot. I’m done with them. I’m probably just going to cheap out and go with hornady 140 bthp’s.

I have tried them, but it was so long ago I can't remember. I have 500 of the "firsts" on my shelf right now, so I'll be getting getting reaquainted with them soon.
I have done direct comparison between the 175 Custom Competition blems and firsts. I couldn't see any statistical difference. The 175 CC's are my prefferred bullet if getting blems, they just aren't always available.
The ELD's (both 140 & 147m and the 143x) have all been consistent for me. I am sticking with them.

Only in factory ammo. My barrel liked them. I was getting the RDF’s quite a bit cheaper, that’s why I went went them.
I've shot over 4500 of the 175 RDF in three different 308 barrels around 2750 fps, about half of them blems. I found them to be accurate and consistent and been successful with them (two top tactical division PRS finishes among others).
The 140 RDF in my new 6.5's have been spotty, and the 130 RDF a total washout however.

I shoot the 130's and for me they are damn good, I shoot a 6.5SLR and the first groups I shot I was using H4350 and I could not get them under 1 MOA. I was going to give up on them but decided to try Varget after that things started to fall in place. I ended up with a load running 2920 out of a 22" 1-7 Broughton that shoots in the .3's when I do my part.
I get good accuracy with the Hornady 140 BHM and the ELDM also, the Nosler 140 Custom Competition bullet shoots as well as the Hornady's, just no luck with RDF's.
I've shot out two 6.5 Creedmoor barrels with just the Hornady 140 BTHP. Yeah, it doesn't have the BC of the ELDM, so I have to dial a couple more clicks of elevation and hold another few tenths for wind, but every barrel I've ever had has stacked those bullets on top of each other on the target and for about 22 cents apiece
The 6mm RDF I have loaded shot terrible. Against my better judgment I bought a box of 30cal RDF to try. I must hate myself.
I've experienced the same odd flyers with both the 140's and 175's in the RDF's . I've had some amazing groups with them - along with WTF groups and decided to discontinue use of the Nosler's. The ogive length seems to vary quite a bit on them and I suspect this to be one of the culprits for their random accuracy.
I’ve shot them in 5 creeds. Different manufacturers and one custom barrel. New shit sells but I’m with you. The old reliable is what I’m using
