Rifle Scopes Buying a New Steiner!!!

All - My original post above was forwarded to Steiner to which i received the following email today....Seems the turret upgrade might be a bit in the future still. I have not need to "replace" the scope, as it is a very niece piece of glass. Just a bit soft in the turrets. An upgrade, when...

Sidearms & Scatterguns I was considering a Sig P220.. but now I'm not so sure.

C, I also have a 220 Combat and am considering sending it to Grays. I do like the pistol, but am not a fan of the trigger which IMO needs work. Note, the combat model does accept a 10 round mag, but one would be hard pressed to conceal this thing as the mag would make concealed carry...

    Max magnification for a spotter?

I have the Swaro 30-70x95 and it works VERY well. However, on warm days, I do have to dial it back. While somewhat overkill on the magnification, it is always nice to have. For just shooting, and not digiscoping or birding, there are cheaper options that will work just fine.

Rifle Scopes Buying a New Steiner!!!

This would make my day! Have owned since November of 2012 and yes, I would describe them as "mushy"....feels like one is pushing a spoon through mashed potatoes. Almost no "click".

Rifle Scopes Buying a New Steiner!!!

I like mine - very pleased with the quality/value. Optically, very close to the S&B which I also own in the same reticle. The turrets on the Steiner are not quite as solid and tend to be easily moved - however, one comes back to the value discussion and you can have the Steiner and still keep...

Looking for AR-10 .260 Rem build experience with JP barrel

I own a 260 JP with a 22" barrel and shoot Lapua 139s using 46.0gns of 4830. The rifle is shooting .65 MOA on average and I could probably lower it further if I worked more on consistent loads. Good luck!

    .338 lm pet load

Re: .338 lm pet load I have had good success with 89.6 gns of Vit N165 to get 2875fps. (Lapua Brass to 3.60 OAL) This also was a very tight grouping round. I have switched to 95.7 gns of V570 which is also producing around +2900 fps. This is not grouping quite as well at 200 yrds, but has...
