Ladder test interpretation needed. maybe made a mistake.....

also. if you can stretch it out to get more spread on your ladder. Try 600 yards. It should tell you a little more about what is going on.

    barrel life…remington 700

I wouldn't worry about it. Shoot the damn thing. If the grouping is off just clean it and repeat. If one day this doesn't work replace the barrel. Worrying about barrel life is like someone worrying and waiting about when they are going to die. Why worry about something you have no control over...

Range Report MV, chrono, and Applied Ballistics huge discrepancy...

I agree my Crony reads 50+ fps slower than what my dope shows it should be.

My first attempt at a ladder test.

Need a more stable rest. Sandbag it. Big issue is you need 300 yards or more. Shoot at whit paper and use permanent marker on the bullets to keep track of what load you shot and where it went. Use a chronograph. Read this, Long-Range Load Development

    H or IMR, WHO CARES!!!!

I care too, I live in Indiana and not in perfect weather California. If you don't like H powder leave them for the one's that believe in it. IMR is a great powder. I started loading 223 rem with IMR 4895 when I was 12 years old. I made a lot of small hole groups with it and when winter came...

    AI 223 Mags?

Same boat as you are. I bought the $80 Accuracy mag. It does what it should do. No problems and looks good. The only thing about the Accuracy mag is it a full size 308 mag. Sticks out twice as long as a AI poly mag would. But I will get a AI mag one day and use Accuracy mag for 308.

Sidearms & Scatterguns Belt Sander Sharpener

I have a Delta 1x30, I don't know if they make it anymore because I bought it at the hardware store marked down because it was discontinued. I have tried all the grits. I stick to 330 and a surgi-sharp leather belt. Leather belts are $35 bucks on Amazon. I think all together I have around $125...

    Concentricity gauge

I have never checked for run-out. I look at the Hornady gauge and I can't help but ask, The cartridge base is on a flat surface and the bullet nose is in a hole. Why wouldn't this gauge show the run-out of the base of the cartridge? So you are just aligning the bullet to the face of the bolt not...

    Rifle Scopes Bikini scope covers

I need a good pairs of bikini scope covers. The one's on Nightforce look heavy duty. I’m tired of the BC caps breaking and the new tactical caps don't stay closed. So I'm giving up on the flip open caps. The reviews for the BC bikini cover don't look very promising. So what are my choices?

    260/Lapua bushing size

.289 for me. You are just going to have to measure a loaded round or neck thickness. It’s also good to have a smaller bushing after a few reloads the neck can get thinner.

    copper fowling

I was just going to post this but Jeffvn beat me to it. I like KG-12. Wet a patch and scrub back and forth 20 time let is sit for 5 or 10min repeat and wipe it out and Done. I use it on break in and then after accuracy starts to go.

    Baffled: Brass won't resize?

Are you using Redding dies by chance? I have to take 400 grit Emery cloth on a wood dowel chucked in a drill to smooth out the chamfer at the base of the die. I go back and hit it with 800g wet, dry sand paper. I use WD40 on both grits. If you look a Redding die and compare to RCBS the RCBS is...
