Gunsmithing Recommend a good 5/8 x24 thread cutting die

If the rope is a good Wick you will get there, go for the adjustable style, that way you can fine tune to fit.

    School me on mirage

It depends on range but you have it correct, if the target is up you shoot down. Shoot into the mirage.

Ultrasonic Cleaner - what's best to put in ?

To speed the dry time get a heating pad and put a towel over it and turn to high, the warm brass will dry faster.

Gunsmithing Show me pictures of your shop.

We had PVC at the shop (BIG BIG) where I worked but the air oil from the comp. caused the pipe to blow (2") no one hurt. They went to the Alu Fast Pipe and it was so much better and easy to put up or move as needed.

Gunsmithing How strong should a silver-solder joint be?

My Father was very good with SS. Not me, but he told me to be carefull with the flux, can't have to much. Heat till the flux is dry then wait for it to turn clear and melt then add SS if you go past that and dry or burn the flux you start over. Don't heat more than is needed. Boil in hot water...

    Accurate mags and Manners mini-chassis?

Accurate and AI are the same. If you open up the chassis you also have to open up the front of the receiver for the mag to fit up in there. If you open up for the CIP extra length mag you have to stay with the CIP. PS: to fix the problem get the std length accurate mag or AI, same, same.

    Accurate mags and Manners mini-chassis?

I'm sure you will have to mill about .080 from the front of the action to make the 3.775 CIP mags work. That's what I did on my 338 RUM and McRees. Send me a PM if you want to sell the 3.775s. Accurate makes a great mag, you just need the std mag and not the CIP. Hope this helps.
